24.01.2022 The Redland Football Club and the Victoria Point Sharks Football Club, through its committees, coaching staff, playing lists and governing body, have been engaged in discussions regarding the future of football at the precinct. Taking into consideration these consultations and the viability and sustainability of continuing as separate bodies, we will be moving forward as one club with a view to play in the highest level of community football in Queensland. Football has a proud history at the Sharks since 1966, and this is another positive step forward for our Junior players and the wider community in seeing a united Senior Club.

20.01.2022 It is with profound sadness that we advise the passing of Pam Tobiasen, much-beloved wife of our long-serving President Col (Toby). A Life Member of the Victoria Point Sharks Sporting Club and an inaugural inductee as a Legend into the Redland Football Club Hall of Fame, Pam worked tirelessly behind the scenes for the Football Club through the Sharks and Bombers Bingo for over forty years to raise much-needed funds and support to the operational costs of our club. A true matr...iarch and wonderful support for her dedicated husband Toby, Pam was a much-loved member of our community footy club and embraced by all within our sporting and social precinct. Our deepest condolences go out to Toby, Tammy, and Pam's grandkids Cody and Taylor Given the spread of Redland Football Club players, coaches, and officials at various venues this weekend we ask that all respectfully wear a black armband and take a moment to honour Pam's memory and the lasting legacy she has left for all of us. More so lately as I am getting older but I have been losing phone/wallet/keys etc a lot lately and also forgetting not to speed through cameras. Favourite all time sportsman? If coronavirus has taught me anything, it's that this group genuinely cares about each other. Play as many sports as you can for as long as you can. From letting Barry Hamilton get off him to kick a goal in the 1993 QAFL Grand Final, to the great fun we had on State trips, and now following the trials, tribulations, and service history of the Range Rover as it heads north on the M1 Ive always enjoyed his quirkiness. Most annoying teammate? David Barton has a habit of shouting random drinks post-game or on interstate trips which can be quiet confronting at times. Which teammate/coach has the weirdest habit? Sharing a crib on interstate trips with Deion Menzies is like watching an episode of Judge Judy. As he dozes off he moans Sue, Sue, Sue then he settles. What is the best part of being a Redland official? Despite all the internal and external challenges the club continues to offer a pathway and opportunities for aspirational players and coaches who have the character and motivations to test themselves at a semi-professional level. 11.01.2022 The funeral service for Pam Tobiasen For the information of our members and friends of Pam. Pams Service will be held at 2pm Friday Great Southern Gardens Mt C...otton. Due to coronavirus restrictions attendees who are able to be seated in the chapel will be advised by the family. Others may also attend there will be seats outside and standing areas. In the event that numbers exceed allowable attendance levels people will be redirected on site. The funeral service will be streamed live on YouTube therefore it will be able to be viewed on most devices.
