24.01.2022 We have been unable to mow any yards as of recent due to Long-awaited and much-needed rain which has fallen across the Redland's this week. This rain is going to cause the grass to have a sudden surge of growth. In response to this... Redlands Cut price Mowing is going to be working long hours, including Rostered day's off and weekends, to mow all valued customers lawns that make up our schedule. Other mowing contractors in south east Queensland will be facing the same issues with mowing, with grass growing exceptionally fast due to the ideal weather conditions of recent rain and above-20-degree night temperatures. To avoid damaging the lawn the ground needs to be dry before we can mow. 18.01.2022 I have to ask, is there seriously people out there getting around in the Redlands area who will Mow + edging/Trimming + bag clippings and take away + blow pathway, road and driveways and spray all weeds on pathway and driveway for front and back lawns on an average size block for under $15. because a Customer I quoted today told me Im too expensive and claims she knows plenty of others, not just one or two but heaps who will do it for $15 and under. My normal response from ...customers is actually the opposite to the one I received today. For record I will not go any cheaper than my quotes as my quality of work is exceptional and my rates are marginal anyway.. It actually costs $19.10 to dump Green waste at the tip, not to mention insurance, equipment Costs, tax, super, petrol and my labour. So for the people charging $15 and under, for your own sake you need to reconsider what your charging, dont undervalue yourself. See more

07.01.2022 Im Considering closing my Mowing business, not because its unsuccessful or lack of Customers, its actually the Opposite. Im overwhelmed with customers but because everyone keeps telling me how to run my business and Im doing it all wrong. I didnt start this business because I wanted to make money. I started this business because I enjoy mowing, helping others and I was tired of being told what to do by a boss. When I started this business without any input from anyone... I had 0 customers, In 4 months I have acquired 36 regular repeat customers, helped out an additional 63 customers as one offs etc, At present moment I get about 6 New enquireys a day for people wanting my service, and about 20 unsolicited spam calls trying to sell me something. whilst being a one man team it can be a struggle to get it all done within a day, but I think I manage it well enough and Im enjoying myself as I dont have someone bossing me around. But what I dont manage very well is being told how to do things, which is also part of the reason, by my choice Im single and not married, and why I dont work for a boss anymore and why I started this business.

04.01.2022 Someone needs to invent a mower that performs a clean cut on wet grass and clippings dont stick to the blades and trimmer line that cuts wet grass as opposed to tearing. That way i can keep working rain or shine

04.01.2022 Redlands Cut Price Mowing is not like your typical lawn mowing company. We believe in transparency and honesty in all our dealings and thats what sets us apart from the others. Im more than happy too tell you exactly what machines I Use and what chemicals I use, and where I buy it, and what it costs me, Im more than happy to refer my customers to my competition, if I cant fit them in. ... I dont do this because I want to make money, I do this because I enjoy mowing and yard Work and I like to help others. I wont raise my prices just because you are rich and can afford it,I treat everyone the same. I dont take short cuts, or cut corners. I take pride in my work and apply same level of skill and care for each and every yard I get the opportunity to work on. Most other lawn mower contactors use Honda Push mowers, because there reliable, but we dont CAUSE there under powered and really heavy. We own a Commercial Honda but, we keep it in the shed at home and dont use it, its not practical for us. In my trailer everyday I take 2 mowers. 1. Masport running a commercial briggs and Stratton 6.5hp 190cc engine ( same engine running on small ride on mowers) its light and efficient. And can chew through thick grass unlike the Honda which struggles. 2. Victa running a 550e Briggs. Its reliable and great for small yards and Its really light and uses hardly any fuel.
