23.01.2022 Few pics of some paving works completed this week Had to get the stump grinder in beforehand to clean up what was a hedge along the fence line for a client in Thornlands. This type of paver is called woodgrain charcoal which has a beautiful texture to it. This area will be finished off with pebble install next week. 21.01.2022 Mulch install for a regular client in Redland Bay. Thanks Nuway Redlands for the quality 50mm Pine Bark. Great time of the year to get mulch down on your garden beds. Mulch helps maintain moisture in the ground which is vital for plant health and also minimises weed growth. Also great to see the fruit trees that were planted along the back last year now producing fruit! Happy days.

20.01.2022 Recent project finished up today for a client in Birkdale for a backyard makeover. The before photos show this area originally had pavers throughout the centre of the yard surrounded by pebble. On the left hand side was a palm tree with mulch surrounding and on the RHS also mulch with a very outdated ordinary looking garden bed. The palm tree was completely removed and stump grinded down, along with the mulch, pavers and pebble and the areas prepped. ... New turf was installed in these areas along with a nice new garden bed upgrade using galvanised retainer postswith a more practical shape for use. Pine edging installed along the back to define the garden bed. 20.01.2022 Sir Walter turf installed today for a client in Manly west This variety of grass has a great shade tolerance and a beautiful broad leaf. Sir Walter buffalo also has a drought tolerance making it an ideal choice for Qld climate. Very happy with the result ... 17.01.2022 Loving the Empire Zoysia installs at the moment. Thanks Go Turf for the quality grass. New lawn was installed for a client in Corinda along with hardwood sleepers bordering the garden which also got a top up with 25mm pike bark nuggets. As you can see in the before photos, this area was due for a revamp with the existing lawn struggling to take and the area required plenty of quality underturf and was raised about 150mm prior to turf install. ... 15.01.2022 Finishing off a Besser block path for a client in Thornlands This area was originally a grass strip which struggled to grow due to lack of sunlight. Re using this besser blocks the client had left over to create a more practical area without the expense of new materials and can now be utilised to an extended entertainment area.

14.01.2022 Turf prep today for a client in Thornlands. Empire Zoysia to be laid tomorrow morning. This job will be a complete landscape install for a new build. Pavers, natural river pebble, garden bed/plants and letterbox installation to come. Certainly feeling a little heavier underfoot with a mix of wet weather and clay!!

12.01.2022 Taming an aggressive growing bougainvillea for a regular client in Wellington Point Bougainvillea is native to South America and the sap is mildly toxic. Get one of those thorns in you and youll certainly know about it!

11.01.2022 Been a big couple of days here at Redlands coast landscaping. Yesterday was a job in Mansfield for a client who required a heavy prune of the bottlebrush and Lilly pillies along the top of a large retaining wall. Some of these shrubs were up to 5 metres in height and reduced down to about 1.5 metres!! Was certainly a challenging job and a lot of green waste! Todays work included a tropical garden install for a client in Camp Hill prior to a house sale. The original corner ...garden didnt have much going for it. Using a variety of Heliconias, Philodendrons and Cordylines gave this space a bit of wow factor also a little window garden install of evergreen liriope to replace the existing turf area. 08.01.2022 Thought I would share this little memorial garden created in loving memory for my Niece Sky Smedley who recently passed away. The plant is called Senetti Magenta Delight. It produces a beautiful magenta colour flower through autumn, winter and spring. Bordered by charcoal easy edge blocks and white stones throughout. Thank you to all my clients for your support and kind and thoughtful messages during this difficult time.

Beautiful new empire zoysia laid/cut/rolled and a good watering in Empire Zoysia is a low maintenance turf with a strong root structure which enables wear and tear. 05.01.2022 An amazing courtyard transformation finished off today for a client in Alex Hills. The retaining wall was replaced and the old timber structure removed. The centre area was paved using tumbled black limestone pavers now ready for entertaining on. Paved area is surrounded by 40mm fossil grey stone, thanks Rock 'n' Soil for the quality pebble. ... 04.01.2022 BACKYARD BLITZ! It has been about 6 months since this property in Holland Park had been attended to. Nature was certainly taking back over. Palm trees required a good thinning out, as well as many native trees and shrubs requiring a heavy prune & cut back. Lawns and edges required an extensive cut and many broadleaf weed species removed and a herbicide application applied. We were able to expose the garden edging and give a defined border between lawn and garden beds and get... this outdoor space looking respectable again. Check out the before and after photos below. 04.01.2022 Another turf install completed today for a client in Manly West This install was certainly a challenge but all worth it with the end result! using a couple of builders ramps a can do attitude and some muscle we were able to get the underlay and turf up and over the sandstone blocks and onto the prepped area. 01.01.2022 Some before and after photos of a recent courtyard makeover for a client in Ormiston. First part of the day was spent digging out and removing the dense amount of existing plants and shrubs to create a more open space to these areas. Tea tree mulch was installed along with 5 Syzigium Hinterland Gold. These species are a fast growing variety of Lilly pilly and grow between 2-4 metres in height. ... 20/40mm natural river pebble was also installed which now opens this area up to become more practical and use of space.
