24.01.2022 Please email: [email protected] for details of where to drop off groceries etc. if you can help. Thank you Pat and Nola

24.01.2022 Can you help Jill find sponsors in Canada? Such a good program to help refugees find a home in Canada as Australia's doors are locked to them.

24.01.2022 Thank you Terri Butler MP for raising this issue.

22.01.2022 Please sign this petition. Compassion needed from the community as there is none from the Government.

22.01.2022 Please read this from the Human Rights Commissioner. It shows clearly the inequality inherent in the Federal Budget.

21.01.2022 On today at 4 pm. Listen in if you can.

21.01.2022 Does anyone have any Canadian connections that may be able to sponsor or find sponsors for these refugees to settle in Canada. The amazing Jill Horton has raised funds for them and now sponsors are needed. Please respond to Jill if you can help.

19.01.2022 Storytelling - Tuesday night at 7 pm. A great story to watch.

17.01.2022 Such a worthy cause! Read the story to understand why this help is needed.

16.01.2022 ASRC does such wonderful work. You may wish to support them.

16.01.2022 Walk in their shoes. Why should they not get the same government support? It is left to the community to pick up the pieces.

16.01.2022 This unbelievable cruelty must stop!

15.01.2022 With tears in my eyes as I write this, and after an emotionally filled day, we can finally share with all our beautiful friends and loved ones, that Ahmed is fi...nally FREE!!! First stop is of course Macca's....but he could only take in the aroma because he's too excited to stomach food. Words cannot express how we're feeling right now, in a case which many thought was impossible to win. We actually won a Habeas Corpus case! Something no one has won in Australia since the 1800's. A marvellous win for our legal team, but more importantly, a new precedent has been set for cases to follow from here. We believed that the government were holding Ahmed unlawfully, and after many failed attempts to rectify the matter, we were left with no choice other than to bring forward a case against the Commonwealth of Australia for his unlawful detention. Today the fight paid off. The judge ordered the Commonwealth to release him immediately and he was dropped off at a hotel in Perth where he'll stay til his flight back to Melbourne on Monday. To our solicitor Alison Battisson, you are a fierce warrior, and one hell of a human rights lawyer. We will never be able to thank you enough. To our barristers Nick Wood and Jim Hartley, you guys are such a gift to the legal field. There are no words in the English language that could justify the pure talent you are. Forever grateful. I'm not usually one to be stuck for words, but there's just so many emotions to process and we just can't believe we did it. We really won this landmark case! Omg!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We love you and appreciate all the prayers and support . See more

11.01.2022 This nurse and whistleblower used to work in Nauru, where she met Adnan and Mehdi. Adnan and Mehdi both arrived as unaccompanied minors at 15, now 22 and 23 yea...rs old, still in detention. Jacinta is desperately concerned about the well-being of the young men, after hearing about them being forcibly moved to an even higher-security wing of BITA, and their subsequent and ongoing hunger strike. She has a message she would like to share with everyone. At BITA, three people Adnan, Medhi and Farhad Rahmati have been on hunger strike. Indefinite detention is torture, no human being deserves to be put through this. They need community and care, they need to be released. There is no healing in a place of trauma. #HealthWorkers4Refugees #Unions4Refugees #FreeThemNow

11.01.2022 So great to see this refugee-led educational program. If you saw the film ' The Staging Post' you will know how this began. To see the growth is fantastic. Donations are needed to keep this wonderful movement going.

11.01.2022 Please help where you can.

10.01.2022 A great afternoon of music to pay tribute to the late Dr. Noel Preston AM and raise funds for Redlands for Refugees at the same time. Noel was a founding member of R4R

07.01.2022 The Romero Centre is urgently seeking temporary accommodation for a refugee father and his 2 children until something more permanent can be found. R4R has been supporting this family along with the Romero Centre for the past 12 months but the lease on their current place in Alexandra Hills ends on Nov 2. It would be wonderful if they could stay close to the children's schools in Alexandra Hills until the end of the school year in mid-December. If you can assist in any way, please contact R4R through this page or email: [email protected]

06.01.2022 So wrong to deny this sick young man a visitor.

05.01.2022 Help end this cruelty!

01.01.2022 Such good news! May it continue for others!!
