19.01.2022 REMEMBRANCE DAY - Wednesday 11th November 2020. On this day Australians will observe a one minute silence at 11am in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts. Unfortunately due to the current COVID restrictions still in place, we are still unable to host an official service*. However, our President Mr Alan Harcourt will still lay a wreath; and our Deputy President Mr Ian Gray will still call out the Honour Roll of our Redlands RSL Service Members... who have sadly passed away in the past 12 months. Redlands RSL will be open at 9am for Redlands RSL Service Members and their partners to get together for a Veterans Cuppa. From 11.30am to 2pm we will have a special 2 course lunch available in Sails Restaurant at the special price of $13.90 for Redlands RSL Service Members, $16.90 for our other Redlands RSL members, and $19.90 for visitors. Despite restrictions... on this day - We Will Remember Them!! Lest We Forget!! (*The cost is in the thousands to obtain a covid safe plan to host an outdoor event).

18.01.2022 Today... We Remembered Them! Despite covid restrictions and us not being able to promote our Remembrance Day service, many still turned up to pay their respects and remember those who served and sacrificed in all wars and conflicts. Even when the audio did not work at the end to play the national anthem, it was a moving moment when attendees started singing it without being asked - a true sign of Aussie spirit!... Camaraderie was enjoyed by all who gathered here at the Redlands RSL for either a Veterans Cuppa earlier this morning, or over lunch. Here's hoping covid restrictions ease further in 2021 and allow us to hold commemorative services at their full potential.

17.01.2022 UPDATE: I have just phoned the RSL Art Union and they have confirmed that they have door knockers going around our area (Alex Hills post code confirmed) selling memberships and/or tickets. I have suggested that they put a post on Facebook, their website, and notify RSL's of this. Again... this is not associated with Redlands RSL though. Original post:... Please be aware... We have had quite a few inquiries over the past few days in relation to door knockers in the local area selling raffle tickets on behalf of the RSL. We want to make it very clear that REDLANDS RSL have never, and will never send people knocking on doors asking for monetary donations or selling tickets of any kind. It has been mentioned that it is through the RSL Art Union. We just suggest that you do your research and make further enquiries before giving over your details!
