23.01.2022 RETURN TO PLAY UPDATE As restrictions are being lifted and new updates released daily, we are working very closely with our governing bodies to have everything prepared for when we can get back on the park. The Board will be meeting on June 25th to discuss all details and will hopefully have more certainty and clarity on defined guidelines which will allow us to schedule and resume competitions.... As soon as we have news for a return to play date you will all know about it! We are hopeful for mid to late July. We are also awaiting decisions to be announced in regards to if and when there will be any Junior Rep Events rescheduled for later in the year. In the meantime, we are aware that restrictions have been lifted for small training groups. At this stage, Redlands Touch WILL NOT be responsible for any teams or clubs that use our fields. It is recommended all those who choose to train should comply with all government protocols and policies, including appointing a COVID-19 Safety officer, a log of all attendees, arrival and departure times, and a valid Covid-19 Safety Plan. As a matter of best practice, we also recommend for all participants to join the COVIDsafe app LINK: https://www.health.gov.au/reso/apps-and-tools/covidsafe-app Click here, to create an account and under training library complete the ‘COVID-19: What it is, How to Prevent’ course. Participant Return to Play Protocols. For Players, Coaches, Parents and Spectators https://touchfootball.com.au/coronavirus-retu/participants/ Please also see QTF email below and approved COVID Safe Plan-MEMO attached. QTF is excited to announce that the Chief Health Officer has approved a Sport Industry COVID Safe Plan that was put forward by State Sporting Organisations including QTF which allows flexibility on the number of people per playing space/zone. On a touch football field, there is provisions for a maximum of two separate playing spaces/zones per field that can accommodate a total of 20 people per playing space, where you are compliant with the requirements of the approved COVID Safe Industry Plan and relevant health directions. Please find further information in the Memo link below. https://redlandstouch.com.au//200604_MEMO-Sport-Industry-C

07.01.2022 Dear Redlands Touch Community, Welcome back to Touch Footy! Understandably, this channel has been a bit quiet recently. However, as the activity (on and off the field) starts back up, so does the communication. We are excited to let you know about a new community partnership program with Salvos Stores! ... Clean out your wardrobes! The Salvos Stores are desperately low on stock. Every Salvos bag of clothes helps local people in need, plus raises $5 for our club. It’s a win-win. Here’s a quick summary of how to get involved and support the Salvos Stores and your Touch Club. 1. Grab your bags from the Club during the week or from Salvos Marquee on the grass near F1 this Friday night. We’ll be observing social distancing, so please just ‘grab and go’. 2. Fill the bags with clothes and drop them back into the new Salvo’s clothes red wheelie bins at the Club. Clothes need to be in the Salvos bags to get the $5. You can drop off clothes in Salvos bags on Friday night or through the week. 3. If you already have cloths bagged up, bring them down and just put a Salvos bag around it and drop it in the bin. 4. Share the post from our Facebook page on your own timeline to encourage other Redlands locals to join in. The more clothes for the Salvos store’s the better for everyone.
