24.01.2022 The three amigos, Amberly Whelan, Michael Fogarty and I Walked 3 laps of the Tan and managed to beat our previous best lap time by about 3 mins. Michael lead the way and set this very fast pace. Amberly and Mike also ran up Anderson Street Hill on each of our 3 laps. This was a Heart Foundation Walking (HFW) walk.

22.01.2022 We are back on the Tan Track this coming Saturday 27 June 2020. Do yourself and your body a favor and come and join us. Meet us on the front entrance steps to Flinders Street Railway Station at 9:00 am.

21.01.2022 OUR GROUP IS GROWING 19 May 2019 We had Eve join us on last weeks midweek walk and we had Rob Mascitti join us on our walk today. We sort of through Rob into the deep end when we climbed the 3.1 km One Tree Hill track which is very steep in some parts but Rob toughed it out and got the job done. Great work Rob and hope to see you again on future walks.

21.01.2022 Mainly on the flat today

20.01.2022 Shakila, Arshan and Geoff joined me for the walk today. Great weather for outdoor activities so there were hundreds of people running, jogging and walking around the Melbourne Tan

18.01.2022 Red Legs Admasu and Red Legs Pete (me) did this walk today. We really paced it out and managed to lead the way among the other walkers.

17.01.2022 RED LEGS ON THE TAN Sunday 25 August 2019 It was a later start today which seemed to please everybody who walked today. Although it was a coolish morning the sun was shining and there was only a light wind blowing.... There did not appear to be as many other walkers, Joggers and runners as there had been in previous weeks and it maybe because of our later start. Amberly was not feeling well and Michael was doing a 35 km charity walk so they did not join us today. However, we had Kim join us for her first walk today. Kim almost completed two laps of the Tan but she had to leave us for a family gathering at Albert Park Lake. Kim is a fabulous walker and we hope to see Kim join us on future walks. Karima, Andrew, Geoff and Rob also joined us on this walk today. Rob and I completed three laps (12 km) and Karima and Andrew completed two laps (8 km) of the Tan. It is fantastic to see our group growing week by week and to see so many people on the Tan taking care of their health and well-being. Story by: Peter Fletcher

16.01.2022 Last walk before a 2 day break to recover from some minor injuries.

15.01.2022 Today's walk was mainly on the flat for a change

10.01.2022 RED LEGS 1000 STEPS STAIR and HILL CLIMB Sunday 16 June 2019 Amberly joined us for the first time today and Rob for his second walk with the Red Legs Walking Group in the Dandenong Ranges National Park. ... Amberly was a real powerhouse walker and I was struggling to match it with her on the hill and stair climb. Rob did an amazing job given that this was his frist time climbing the 1000 steps. He made it to the top with flying colors and then did the very steep descent down the Lyrebird Track. It was truly great weather for the walk and a real pleasure to walk with Amberly and Rob. 09.01.2022 4 Red Legs with 8 Legs did 3 Laps of The Melbourne Tan

09.01.2022 RED LEGS ON THE TAN Sunday 18 August 2019 The sun was out and so was half of Melbourne running, jogging and walking around the Melbourne Tan today.... Amberly, Rob, Michael and Geoff were missing in action today but it was very pleasing to have Karima and her husband Andrew join us for the walk at the last minute or I would have been doing a solo walk. Although we had fabulous weather conditions for the walk it was a bit of a disastrous beginning of the day for me. There were no trains between Dandenong and Caulfield so it was all aboard the Replacement bus stopping all station to Caulfield. We were to start our walk in the city at 8:15 am but the bus didn’t arrive at Caulfield until 8:00 am. So I was more than 30 mins late getting to Flinders Street Station/ Karima and Andrew were very kind and understanding about me being late so off we went to the Tan where we did three (3) laps 12 km around the Botanical Gardens. We did in excess of 13 km including the walk from Flinders Street Station to the Tan and back. I was recording the walk on my Fitbit but unfortunately, the battery died before we had completed the walk. The three of us all had a dickie knee but we still managed to get the job done.
