25.01.2022 Next up was James from Killarney Heights who is in our area on holidays doing his test in the automatic car. James had previously had an unsuccessful attempt at a test in Sydney but with a lot less traffic and a few tweaks to his driving he was ready for action. Today went very well and he passed with ease losing a mere 3 points, a great effort and congratulations today to James!

24.01.2022 This week is going to be a bit quieter test wise but it did start with a great result, Lachie from Austral Eden got his license in mums manual Mazda. He was smart enough not to show up in his hoonigan ute which would have been a fail straight away. Lachie was a very easy student to deal with as he has excellent manual driving skills and despite his choice of vehicle seemed to be a very sensible motorist. Today he had his inner rev head well and truly hidden as he did his best grandma driving and aced the test getting himself a perfect score. It’s the first perfect score one of my students has gotten in Kempsey and I am not surprised as Lachie was driving, well perfectly, congratulations Lachie!

23.01.2022 It was too wet to take a photo in front of the car this morning but the rain didn’t stop EllaBlu from doing her test in the automatic car. When focussed and concentrating Ella was quite a good driver with excellent car control and never seemed to be in a hurry. Her reverse parking was some of the best I’ve seen for a while, occasionally it did feel like her mind was elsewhere but overall a pretty safe driver. The tester agreed and Ella passed no problem losing just 2 points, a super effort and congratulations today to EllaBlu!

23.01.2022 I am a little late with this one but yesterday Hamish from Crescent Head road got his license in his dads manual Ute. No surprise really as Hamish is a very good driver who seemed to be not in a rush. His manual skills were well and truly good enough for the test, I did a few lessons with Hamish and he always seemed very calm and under control and yesterday was no different and as such the test was easy and he passed losing just 2 points. Stay safe and congratulations for yesterday to Hamish!

22.01.2022 This afternoon Marley from South West Rocks did her driving test in Mum’s automatic Nissan. We did a few lessons in the Xtrail which Marley was comfortable driving, her skills were well and truly satisfactory and her attitude and pace spot on. As with most Kids Marley needed to learn about all the head checks and then she was ready for the test. Just to make today interesting she had school exams before her driving test which was not a problem as Marley passed her driving test very easily losing only 2 points, a great result in the driving test at least and congratulations today to Marley!

21.01.2022 This Matthew is from Crescent Head and he did his test in the manual car and he certainly was not in a rush. Nearly 20 years old Matthew was in no hurry to get a license, Mum on the other hand was a little sick of getting up and driving him to work every day. Purchasing a manual recently Matthew started putting in the hours and doing lessons and his manual skills rapidly began to improve. This easily could have happened years ago but patience is a virtue and it makes for a great driver, which Matthew showed the tester today that he is and passed comfortably losing only 3 points. Congratulations today to Matthew and enjoy the sleep in on Monday Mum!

20.01.2022 A great photo of Jonathon from Kundabung after he got his P’s in the old manual Rodeo! Just do everything a bit slower was something that I said to Johnathon many times, it did eventually sink in. His skills were good but a few bad habits could be improved upon and they did cost him 6 points in the test. A pass is the main thing though and congratulations today to Johnathon!

20.01.2022 Later today saw Max from Bellingen get his license in the manual car. I only came in for the glory work as Max had done plenty of lessons elsewhere and a lot of practice with family. As per normal I still needed to slow Max down a little as I showed him around Kempsey and made sure he was doing things correctly. Max’s driving was good but not perfect and he passed but lost 6 points. Another great result and well done to Max!

17.01.2022 It is always good to finish the week well and today we did that with a couple of tests, first up was Mia from West Kempsey who did her test in her manual Kia. Mia only started driving a manual recently and picked it up very quickly, she still has a few bugs to iron out with her clutch and gear work but can get around efficiently. Ultimately Mia is safe and the tester thought so and gave her a pass with the loss of just 5 points, a really good result and congratulations today to Mia!

15.01.2022 A super day today for EllyMae from West Kempsey who got her P’s in the automatic car. I first saw EllyMae drive early this year and even with very few hours in her logbook everything was safe and under control. An excellent attitude meant that EllyMae was never trying to do anything stupid. Today EllyMae just needed to believe in herself and the test would be a breeze, she did and it was, a comfortable pass with the loss of only 3 points. The way we like it and congratulations today to EllyMae!

14.01.2022 A great week continued on today, first up we had Lucinda from Yarravel doing her test in Mum’s automatic. Getting her hours up has taken nearly two years but over the last month Lucinda has pushed hard. Quite a few lessons and a safe driver course got the 120 hours done and had her driving properly. Good preparation and a fantastic attitude meant today was always going to be a success, a few little hiccups kept Lucinda from becoming too confident. Lucinda lost only 2 points and today a big congratulations to her!

13.01.2022 Slightly past 17 but today was the day for Peter from West Kempsey to get his license in the manual car. Despite never having a license before, Peter’s driving skills were exceptional. A couple of little bad habits like too fast and lazy hands were very easy to control, just a couple of lessons and Peter was ready for today’s test. Age has no bearing on nerves and the moment we drove past service NSW this morning things got shaky. Peter held it together and passed comfortably losing only 3 points. A great result and congratulations today to Peter! ( he will look like a 17 year old in his commodore with mags and p plates)

12.01.2022 Friday is always a good day and today was great for two young men, first up this morning was Matthew from South West Rocks who had to rustle up a friends manual Corolla to do his test in. Trying to rush things a little bit was Matthews way and he had a test last week which he clearly wasn’t ready for. After that disappointment he realised that more practice was required and to his credit for the last week he has practiced hard and improved in many areas. Today’s test was successful but only just as Matthew lost 9 points in his test, still a bit learn but good enough to practice by himself, congratulations today to Matthew!

10.01.2022 Jintara from South Kempsey was very happy this morning after getting an Australian license in the automatic car. Despite having an international license Jintara had very little driving experience and as such needed quite a few lessons to prepare for her test. A big bonus was Jintara’s cautious manner which meant that any time she wasn’t sure about something we went very slowly. A first test a couple of weeks ago didn’t exactly go to plan but today did and a pass was achieved. Due to the length of time that Jintara has had her international license she was given her green P’s today, a great achievement and congratulations to Jintara!

08.01.2022 There was a very big smile on the face of Isaiah from South West Rocks after he got his license in the automatic car. Not in a rush ever which is a great attribute when it comes to driving and combined with a great level of skill makes for a very good driver. It doesn’t matter how big and tough they look every one is nervous on test day and Isaiah was no different, not overwhelmed though he passed losing just 4 points, a great result and congratulations today to Isaiah!

07.01.2022 A great photo of Mason from Kempsey after he was successful in his driving test in his automatic Laser. I am happy to admit that I was pleasantly surprised with the result, in our lessons Mason had never really done all his headchecks or put his blinker on all the time or always stopped at stop signs. Combined with a dubious amount of practice I wasn’t confident of a good result but clearly Mason backed himself and got the job done, so a big congratulations to Mason!

07.01.2022 We had one happy young lady this morning, Leisha from West Kempsey got her license in the automatic car. Another young person who had no problem with the driving side of things but organisation was definitely an issue. Where’s my logbook, where’s my paperwork, when is my appointment, lucky Leisha is a good driver. Today went very well and Leisha seemed quite calm and had no problem with the test passing with the loss of a mere 3 points. A great result and congratulations today to Leisha!

03.01.2022 Later on it was time for Respa from Kempsey to do her test in the automatic car. Despite having an international license Respa was very much like a brand new driver but with extra determination and drive. Very keen to get her license Respa put in the practice both with me and her husband and it paid off. Today went very well and Respa passed with ease losing a mere 4 points on the way to getting her license. An excellent way to finish the week and well done to Respa!
