02.01.2022 WORKSAFE TO TARGETS TRUCKS Worksafe will inspect trucks across regional WA in coming weeks, with a focus on drivers working in remote and isolated areas. The in...spectors regional director Chris Kirwin said officers would be based at road train assembly areas and examine commercial drivers and vehicles. For a large part the industry have been very good at complying but theres always some checking that needs to be done, he said. The inspections will look at fatigue management, communication equipment and driver health. We test to see whether the rules are being complied with from time to time, he said. We typically do it very year, were making a bit more noise about it this year.
