18.01.2022 Warlimpirrnga, Walala & Thomas Tjapaltjarri It is a honour to tell this story about my connection and time spent with the Tjapaltjarri brothers. To give you a better understand of the story I am about to share with you, It starts like this : It is difficult for most of us to imagine living in a world without running water, Yes imagine No running water, No tapes, No Rivers, No streams and certainly no form of transport The Tjapaltjarri Brothers (of the Pintupi tribe) are p...art of the Last nomadic group of people to walk out of the desert and to see the modern word or should I say, meet white humans or humans outside of the group for the first time in 1984. This group of nomads are know as the last of the Australian Aboriginal Nomads. I had first met Walala through his Wife Brigitte Napangardi, who I met through other family members working for me from the Yuendumu community in Central Australia, who had also mentioning myself to other family members (this is called the bush telegraph) of my genuine passion and respect for the Aboriginal people. I was well known for my generosity & empathy and have been equally respected by the Aboriginal people. What I'm about is learning as much as I can on the subject of this amazing ancient culture and embracing my time shared. (the rest of the story will be publish on line www.redrockartbank.com and in my book soon to be released).

13.01.2022 In loving memory c1932-d2020 Long Jack Phillipus Tjakamarra, is one of the founding members of the Papunya Tula Artists in 1971 It was a great honour and a deep sincere privilege to have spent the time and years with Long Jack and getting to know him personally. Long Jack was a gentle giant (6ft2(183cm)) with a heart of gold, unlike his peers chasing the limelight of the art world, Long Jack remained a traditional elder in the Pupanya community, refusing to be drawn into the ...fame of Alice Springs or Australian capital city and the rich galleries. He was a shy, private man who required time before you can get close to him, It was because of my close relationship with Michael Nelson Jakamarra and his confidence in me, which encourage Long Jack to allow me to approach him and introduce myself. Even after many years I struggled to understand his broken English as he explained the stories/Dreaming associated with his painting, lucky for me I had already read up on long jacks painting and was very familiar anyway LOL. I have one of the biggest collections in the world of Long Jack's art work's, dating from 1972 through to 2007 The photo with the Painting on top of my bed head is my favourite, Waterhole Dreaming 107x186cm 2001 Long Jack Phillipus Tjakamarra is one of the founding members of the Papunya Tula Artists and his exquisite artworks pay homage and acts as instruments to preserve his culture ancestral traditions. Born in his mother’s country ‘Kalipinya’ [an important Rain Dreaming site] he grew up in the bush west of Pilininyanu until his teenage years when his family settled in Haasts Bluff. Here he remained, working as a labourer and stockman until in 1959 when Papunya was established and he moved location to work as a councillor and school yardman. He along with Billy Stockman Tjapaltjarri, Kaapa Tjampitjinpa, were selected by fellow male Papunya peers to paint the instrumental ‘Honey Ant Dreaming’ mural on the school wall. Although being a good Christian [1984: ordained Lutheran pastor], a family man with five children, his skills regarding hunting and tribal knowledge are unsurpassable. Thus, he is considered to one of Australia’s most knowledgably and leading Aboriginal Artists and his artworks unique locate tradition within the contemporary.

11.01.2022 Although it truely reflects traditional heritage and song-lines of this ancient culture, Australian Aboriginal paintings of today are considered as contemporary art on modern linen. The concentric circles depict an important site or location and are and very important representation in aboriginal art. Photo below on the left: I found in an old book. Painting below Right: Pansy Napangardi "Hailstorm Dreaming" Depicting the fertility and glory of her traditional lands she illustrates and pays homage to the relationship between her people and their country.

07.01.2022 This is my very first purchase of a Australian Aboriginal painting in 1993. I was so overwhelmed and naive, I had forgotten to write down the Aboriginal guys name and details. This painting was always meant for me (spiritually, culturally and more), my lesson had never been forgotten and until this day, I never purchased a painting again without documenting. Yes I still own my very first Aboriginal Painting
