14.01.2022 Weve had a few customers recently come into problems with their hot water tempering valves. Diagnosis showed a variety of issues including complete loss of hot water, reduced hot water pressure, and low water temperature. If youre experiencing any of these problems, its advised to look over your system. Although this could be hard for an untrained eye, if you notice scum, corrosion, or wear, theres a good chance the tempering valve is your problem. If a valve is faulty, i...t must be replaced as they cannot be serviced. The good news in this case is replacing a tempering valve is much cheaper than the entire hot water system. Its important that this device is subject to regular inspection, testing, and cleaning. Make sure your plumber is checking its operation when your hot water system is having its service. Always make sure youre using a licensed plumber, as a faulty installation can cause scalding and serious injury.
