08.01.2022 I don’t know about you but I’ve noticed a lot lately that expectations and achievements have flooded social media . Whilst I really love hearing stories of achievement and success and the latest therapy or program to join, I’m often left feeling like I’m sadly lacking in providing what my son needs. It’s such a fine line! Whilst we’re incredibly blessed to live in such an informative era it’s easy to become overloaded and swamped with the ‘latest’. It’s been really hearteni...ng to read some great posts about self care and letting things go in order to ‘be present’ and not strive. I guess I wanted to encourage all parents and carers out there that there are no boxes we fit in. Every child, family and situation is different so we need to focus on what’s working for us. They need us to look after ourselves first and foremost so we can be present for them. You’re in their life for a reason and only you can be beautiful you so that they can be their beautiful selves too. The one thing we all need the most is love. It’s the old saying, ‘If you don’t love yourself you’ll find it very difficult to love those around you freely. ‘ Love yourself today because you truly are unique, one in a trillion!
