20.01.2022 I bet it is getting cold in Canberra . We are moving toward the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year and shortest day. It is my favourite High Holy Day of the year. I'm curious how are you going to Celebrate Winter Solstice this year? Much Love Wendy Phillis

16.01.2022 Domestic Violence I caught up last night with the last episode. It's not something, this issue, we really want to look at. Obviously. A really pertinent piece o...n the panel on the Feed Forum about the doco and this issue pinged me. It was said look at the response to Covid with the Government. Look at all the things put in place, the huge attention. And this issue, DV which has been underground but more visible in the last 10 years there is still very little attention on it. from how are we going to intervene, support women and children who are involved with Domestic Violence. I cannot remember the statistics of deaths and there are so many more because we don't have a place to be heard, believed and supported. Women are shamed by their perpetrators and their lives, families and children's lives are threatened. They are shamed at places where they speak up or report the abuse and not believed and in the Courts. After I reflected on this. To me, and this was just surface reflection is that women are still viewed as 2nd class citizens, chattel, property, largely from a culture that was Christian or church based and I can speak from experience of this where men are the "head" of a woman and the family and women had to obey men. What is not talked about, even to a lesser extent are First Nations women and families. Our First Nations people and I am no expert, are already carrying in their bodies and DNA the trauma and abuse of this land being ripped away from them, the land raped, the women raped and their children taken away from them. These women are at a higher risk because we hold racist beliefs in our DNA, even if we are working on eradicating that , its there. It was spoken last night on the panel that these women won't speak up or call the cops because of the usual response by Police is to inc aerate the woman that has been abused. Why? I don't have all the answers but what was shared from the Forum is that because these women are already carrying this colonisation trauma, when Police attend they can become abusive and then the Police make a judgement that they need to be removed because they are the problem and the Police, to the most part hold this racial attitude in their bodies. Its very messed up So what are you holding for this situation ? Because this is not going to change overnight, right. So I feel to call us forward, because we are powerful. When we hold intentions and prayers things change. What do we hold for these women and children that are in Domestic Violent situations? I hold that all beings are Free. All being know themselves and see others as Sacred. That all being that are involved in these situations are deeply held, feel loved and are safe. That these women, because it's mainly women and children are divinely protected and return to the wholeness lovingly to who they truly are. And that LOVE abounds in this world to dissolve all trauma, abuse and hurt. And so it is. Love to hear what you are holding in the comments below so I can hold that with you. Thank you for reading and contemplating this.
