24.01.2022 Several Melbourne based community choirs are planning a virtual inter-choir singing workshop next weekend and wanted to extend the invitation to all lovers of h...armony. It will be co-lead by 4 singing leaders and feature original songs written by them. All are welcome, we are raising funds for Pay The Rent. We would love to extend the invite to your singers :)

There you’ll find the song announcement ...video, as well as all the instructional videos to learn your chosen part. Enjoy our first Couch Choir song from this millennium! Once you’re ready, video yourself singing along with your chosen part, upload it back via the website (couchchoir.com) and we’ll do the rest! There you'll also find a donation link to Change the Record. If at any point the website struggles (we feel a bit nervous about the internet in Australia, but fingers crossed), remember you have a full week to check in and learn your part. We’ll also upload the videos to facebook in 24 hours, but we wanted to put them safely on the website first. Happy singing!

08.01.2022 This Make Music Day, Sydney Opera House and Sydney Philharmonia Choirs invite you to be part of the music-making with a virtual PopUp Sing! workshop recorded live in the Joan Sutherland Theatre. In this special event, you will learn to sing the 'Ode to Joy' chorus from Beethoven's famous Symphony No 9. The workshop will be led by world-renowned choral conductor, Brett Weymark, accompanied by Claire Howard Race on piano and four members of the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs.
