20.01.2022 Rasta Alert! To all the Sydney massive and crew, contrary to the false statements floating around, Beenie Man's first show in Sydney is not cancelled. The show is definitely on and Beenie Man, the King of Dancehall, will be up on stage with more fyah!! The show on Thursday 23 March has been moved to a new venue The Factory - 105 Victoria Road, Marrickville. Great venue for such a reggae dancehall show featuring the King of Dancehall himself! Nonstop good vibes!Doors open 8pm ...sharp! See you on Thursday 23 March 2017 & Tell a friend to tell a friend. We'll have alot to say about what happened this afternoon. The excuse provided by the venue Max Watts in their statement in support of their actions to withdraw the booking for venue hire (fully paid) today speaks for itself. We are as confused as you are but we know for a fact though that the reasons or excuses provided in that statement cannot be acceptable to any normal person. Can you imagine a venue cancelling a venue booking for Adele because some creative in Manly or Toorak bought tickets with some 'funny' credit card? Is this evidence in existence? Like you we are only relying on the statement released today by Max Watts online. Max Watts and themusic.com.au (formerly Inpress) know more about the developments today and we'll find out more at a later stage and in a different forum. Now is not the time. An email from Kate Hamblin, owner of Max Watts, which was sent to Kingsbridge Live last night states as follows; "I understand you have requested another promotional run by Oztix; but it is highly unlikely that this would make a material difference to the numbers and we are not seeing any direct marketing on social media from yourself or the performer."
