Gillian created the most stunning floral installation for the dessert table and the surrounding venue. 25.01.2022 This is one of those events that will go down as one of my most favourite to be apart of. From the florals, to the cake and desserts and to the amazing vendors, venue and client everything was just beautiful. It's important to preface and state that Gillian Pollard floral designs was the vision behind this stunning event. Linda (the beautiful mum of Nyree) contacted my services after requiring a stylist to place the desserts already commissioned by the amazing Cake Ink and F...rosted by Nicci. It was definitely a pleasure to style such beautiful desserts around Gillian's floral instillation. Stunning floral arrangements not only adorned the dessert table but were placed around the perfectly suited Boulevard Restaurant, in Kew. Pink and Gold and pink confetti balloons added a stunning pop of colour to the beautiful space. Red Wagon Events was also commisioned to style the two children's tables and place the amazing cookie favours the client had for her guests. It truly was a magnificent event to be apart of and to receive such a beautiful and thankful phone call from the client minutes after leaving the reception truly made my night. 24.01.2022 What an absolute pleasure to style this stunning christening dessert table for little Harlow and her beautiful family. Harlow's beautiful mum Anne Maree loved the burgundy and pale pink colour palette and so from there we created a gorgeous watercolor and floral tablescape for Harlow's christening. The lovely Nic from Pretty and Print created a stunning set of graphics including invitation, backdrop table signage and buffets. ... From this I worked with the gorgeous Gillian from Gillian Pollard designs to create a multi dimensional backdrop with the floral instillation set around the foam letter H (for Harlow) created by the lovely Nat of Foamtastic Decor. Sweetest Jubilee created a beautiful set of desserts and cake that complimented the table so well and once again my gorgeous friend Noo of dessert Menu, Please worked her magic to create a stunning set of cookies to work in with the table. The hands down tastiest macs were provided by our ace friends over at Bread and Buttercream. 21.01.2022 What an absolute honour it was to style this dessert table for my very dear and special Grandfathers 90th birthday. For my Grandad's table I wanted to keep it clean and simple and all about him and the elements in his life that have been most prominent. My Grandad has led an extroidinary life and anyone who knows him could sit and listen for hours the most magical and inspiring stories he has. ... So for the graphic design I enlisted the help of the ever lovely Nicole of Pretty and Print to bring my vision to life. An updated caricuture drawing of my beautiful Grandad with his famous motto - Boxing Along ok (a little bit of a spin on it we added our own personal message for him to JUST KEEP boxing along ok!) With that Nic included elements from his life that have been important to him - The razed wired to represent not only his time served in the war but also for his many years spent as a Prison Gaurd at the Pentridge Prison in Melbourne. The hanging boxing gloves to signify his time as not only a champion boxer but also to play into the Boxing Along theme. The North Melbourne Football Club logo on his shirt to show his true passion for the game. And probably his greatest acheivement in life his dedication to his pigeons and racing, in which he won the triple combinbined long distance races with his pigeons, which to this day has not been beaten. I was extremely greatful to have found Crystal at Caked by Crystal who was located in Ballarat, Victoria who baked the cake, cupcakes and cakepops. She used layed edible images to create a simple but striking effect on the cake. Its not often I get to attend events and eat the cake but I have to say that the cake was absolutely beautiful. And so fresh! Once again my lovely friend Noo of Dessert Menu, Please created the most outstanding cookies. The simple but monochrome outlines of each element made such an effect on the table. And of course everyone loved the 3D Trophy and pigeon cookie. Ash and Corey from Bread and Buttercream once again made the macarons - they were literally whipped up in seconds!! In all it was such an outstanding day with all of Grandads family and friends celebrating Grandad's Birthday at the Cumberland Hotel in Smeaton. 19.01.2022 This year we celebrated my gorgeous eldest son's birthday with just our immediate family. Of course we still had to celebrate with a beautiful cake and an assortment of desserts. For once there was no set theme other then a colour palette of sea blues. Thanks once again to my beautiful sister Cassie from Cassandra Anne Photography for capturing such beautiful images. All huge thanks to the lovely Ashleigh from Bread and Buttercream for creating the most amazing tasting cake... and desserts! Those macarownies (a hybrid betwen a macaron and a brownie) could spoil me for life. So incredible good, and the eclairs... oh the eclairs!! perfect!! 16.01.2022 What a beautiful honour it was to style this dessert table for my gorgeous clients Sharlene and Brendan on their wedding day. Sharlene truly was the dream client and knew from the outset she wanted a stunning mix of corals and peaches to highlight her dessert table with a subtle vintage rose theme underlying the design. Nicole of Pretty and Print created the stunning graphic design taking into account the colouiring and theme creating the perfect backdrop and signage for Sh...arlene and Brendan's day. Leanne from Chocobon truly is the master of chocolate and strawberries and made the perfect statement on the dessert table with her trio of strawberry towers! The smell was heavenly! The ladies from Sweestet Jubilee once again put in everything sweet when creating the beautiful cake pops, cupcakes and macarons all for the table. These gorgeous ladies also created the stunning ruffled peach wedding cake. And not to be outdone our beautiful friend and collegue from Dessert Menu, Please created a perfect cookie set to match the graphics from Pretty and Print. Gillian from Gillian Pollard Designs added the finishing touches to the dessert table with the stunning floral arrangments and also stunning floral centerprices that adorned each table of the room and also, so beautifully, the cake topper. 13.01.2022 The first Saturday in October - what an amazing day for the greater Football Community. The pinnacle to the season that was. The AFL Grand Final. For Red Wagon Events it was an absolute honour to style the Hawthorn Football Club Corporate Supporters Grand Final Brunch. The brief was fairly simple - something geometric and to incorporate the two AFL Finalist teams into the colour scheme. ... The two teams playing (the swans and the bulldogs) made the colour selection a dream to work with, Reds, white and Blues (For the Bulldogs) for a great selection of candy and also some moreish macarons. Her lovely daughter Amy asked me to combine her love for jazz music and a simple monochrome pallet with a pop of purple. 05.01.2022 How blessed I am too have two gorgeous boys of my own to style party for when their birthdays come around each year. Xavier, my youngest decided like his big brother Lucca that he too wanted a soccer party for his 6th birthday. Not wanting to do anything like the last soccer party I styled for my eldest Lucca, I made sure I put in the unique twist that I like to throw into all my events. With that in mind and the very on trend grid pattern at the forefront of my mind - plus ...a killer colour palette from some awesome candles I picked up from Miss Biscuit I handed over the ideas to our awesome graphic designer from Pretty and Print. Nicole ensured that the design was cohesive and really made a pop with the graphics that formed part of my brief. The ladies from Sweetest Jubilee put together a stunning array of fun desserts with a little twist on the drip cake.I absolutely adored the cake topper custom made by Rochelle at A La Roch. Never ever one to disappoint and always at the forefront of her designs Noo from Dessert Menu, Please once again kicked the ball out of the park with her standing 3D soccer jerseys - with each party guests name on the back and the most incredible 3D soccer ball cookies that opened up to reveal a field of little soccer players. So truly incredible. The table was set was fun dinner wear from Favor Lane Party Boutique. The grid pattern on the plates perfectly matching the overall theme. Each child took home a GRUG PLAYS SOCCER book wrapped in custom wrapping paper designed by our friend at Pretty and Print. They also took home little favour boxes with an assortment of soccer inspired goodies. Once again Georgia from Boutique Balloons Melbourne perfectly captured the colours of our event and supplied us with the amazing giant balloon with tassel and of course a number 6 for the birthday boy! Back in 2011 I entered a worldwide contest called the #sweettablecontest for amateur stylists. It was judged by some incredible stylists all across the globe.
