23.01.2022 THAT LIGHT BULB MOMENT I could never understand in all my years within the death care industry why families with terminal ill family members in Hospice and palliative care had not spoke to or organised a funeral director. In 2018 I had that light bulb moment faced with a personal experience. I finally understood why we dont organised or speak with a funeral director before we need to. My family was face with a horrible reality that we were going to lose mum. Its about spend...ing as much time as possible, We would not, Ever get that time back again, making forever memories. 15.01.2022 Things Have Changed A little. 4am Just about to head into an Aged care facility, taking a families loved one into our care. Mask on, Temperature Check, Site that we have our Flu Shot. Sign a declaration for Covid (that we havent knowly come in contact with anyone with Covid or someone from overseas). Since Covid, has raised its ugly head, these Safety procedures are in place.... Im Still Struggling with the new Norm. I know that these Procedures are to Keep Our Most Vulnerable Safe, the amazing Nurses & Care provides, Our own personal families, the Redwood team, And our Special families that we are so lucky to be invited into their lives. I miss being able to hold a family members hand, giving me a cuddle to Say thankyou so much for guiding us through, and making us feel safe, knowing that our mum is in the very best of Care.
