17.01.2022 This may be some useful information for someone! These drawers are getting new handles and I have had to bog up the existing hole. With these types of holes I use builders bog. It dries hard and supports the new handles . When I drill through it doesn’t crumble etc like wood putty or any other filler. I would also usually fill the hole right to the top but I ran out of product and wallpaper is going over these anyway. Once dry you give the holes a sand to clean up any excess :)
