25.01.2022 Its not just company policies that make people disengaged at work. It might also be close-minded coworkers that shut down their ideas. Set an expectation that your employees follow a yes and mindset. This simply means creating a culture where everyones ideas are met with open minds, and not negativity.

24.01.2022 The July cash rate has been held at 0.25% for the fourth consecutive month and it is predicted this will remain the same for some time. If the virus is satisfactorily contained, and assuming no second wave, the economy should be recovering by the December quarter, - Tony Makin of Griffith University https://bit.ly/2Z4CLui

22.01.2022 Now is the time to diversify!! Commercial property specialists need to change the way they do business, as pigeonholed agents will likely see profits fall. LJ Hooker commercial managing director Mathew Tiller has said "COVID-19 has shown the industry that if youre pigeonholed to one area and discipline, like office sales or retail leasing, your potential can be limited. With COVID-19 impacting everything from office usage to restaurant capacities, agents and property manager...s who work across diverse markets will have greater security and profitability in their agencies. https://bit.ly/3aJ1FUF
21.01.2022 You have to be client motivated to be a good real estate agent. If your customer gets a good deal you as the agent will also benefit. This is why you need to put your vendor first and have their needs as your top priority.
21.01.2022 New Year's Goals resolutions always work, don't they? Perhaps some sound goal setting and working on company objectives might be better! What is something you would like to change in your business for 2021?
21.01.2022 Want to encourage employee engagement? Try banning emails between work colleagues for a day. If someone has a question they will need to go talk to their coworker in person. This bit of face-to-face interaction is good to help build on relationships and communication skills.
21.01.2022 One way to make help your employees build tighter bonds is by engaging them in a quick bonding session at the beginning of your weekly meetings. Choose an employee for the "hot seat" then get other employees other employees to have turns at mentioning their favourite things about the person or commending them for recent achievements This fun exercise will have a huge impact on their relationships
20.01.2022 How are real estate agents coping with the crisis? In a recent survey testing mental health across a range of Momentum Medias professional service the following results were recorded for real estate agents: - Four in 10 reported their mental health state as very good - 36% considered their mental health to be good. - 20% reported their mental health as average... - 4% considered their mental health to currently be poor. Approximately 70% of all respondents have reported themselves as being in a positive mental health state. "According to the head of strategy at Momentum Intelligence, Michael Johnson, the increased anxiety that is still pervasive is attributable, in some cases, to concerns around the future and increased workloads of real estate agents and other professionals to better support their clients through this time." Now may be a great time to check in on your employees and make sure they are in a positive mental state and if not think of ways you can help them https://bit.ly/2Zzz8go
18.01.2022 MY EMPLOYEE IS A SES MEMBER AND GETS CALLED OUT ALOT! DO I NEED TO PAY THEM? No. There is no need to pay them and this is classed as Leave Without Pay - unless a 'state of emergency' has been bought into effect by the state emergency coordinator. Whilst the work these volunteers do is essential, it can place a strain on employers over time. It would be up to individual employers to 'make the call'. Here is a great question to ask in an interview - Is there anything that ...might stop you from being able to do your job? Want to learn more? 17.01.2022 Multi-million dollar mansions are being snapped up at a surprising rate, as Perths premium property market stands strong in the face of a national recession. Real estate agents in the elite western suburbs and coastal stretches say they are seeing an influx of enquiries from expatriates desperate to escape heavily infected COVID-19 cities and return to Western Australia. https://bit.ly/3gSUsTC
17.01.2022 Wondering what is in store for FY2021? We began the year with optimism about the property market as lending restrictions eased, investor confidence rose, the cash rate was reduced and auction clearance rates improved. However, COVID-19 brought everything to a shuddering halt when it hit in March 2020. Lock downs and social distancing caused many changes in the market. When restrictions were lifted buyer activity began to pick up again resulting in a significant amount of sale...s transacting. So where are we now? Buyer demand, especially from first home buyers & occupiers remains elevated! These buyers are out to take advantage of record-low interest rates. The real problem with this has been with stock which is slow to return creating an imbalance between demand and supply. The biggest unknown for FY21 is COVID and it's future affects on the market. The other question is what will happen to the economy & property market once government stimulus winds down? Home owners looking to sell/relocate/re-size for financial reasons may cause an increase in supply as we head into spring. Source Credit: https://bit.ly/339gj60

15.01.2022 An important quality to have as an agent is the ability to listen. You want the chance to do your sales pitch but you also want to give the seller some time to talk about their concerns and ideas for their property. Listening will help you understand what your clients expect. It is a good idea to talk about the best way to communicate with them as well. Is it through a phone call, email, text?
