22.01.2022 I'm so pleased to be able to save so much to share now with some nifty gear. Our range of tee shirts is impressive, we have a large stock of Lost Perth books, I am satisfied with our massive wafered aluminium backed prints at over 2800mm by 1500mm and aluminium framed canvas prints up to 1240mm high and 2100mm in width that we will one day offer for purchase. We can save photos, slides, glass negatives, film negatives, newspapers to A3, 8mm film, 16mm film, VHS and camcorder ...cassettes to digital format. I'm about to call out for lots more material people wish to donate to benefit Lost Perth, I can't tell you how much fun it is to watch what the machines produce which brings back so many memories for me. What to do with the footage produced from movie reels and VHS cassettes is still a curiousity for me but a movie of Western Australia's past is paramount. Those of you who have assisted in so many ways, I am so grateful and it's never forgotten as it keeps me moving forward including Dragnet Technology & Consulting who have networked our systems, provided immediate assistance and service , supplied and set up a server and computer provided at no cost to edit and store the film people have donated which will be uploaded to the cloud for safe keeping.
20.01.2022 My real job has gotten in the way of my reel job but I will be back sharing some wonderful footage again soon. See what I did there? I should have been a comedian rather than just funny looking.
20.01.2022 BIG things coming for REEL HISTORY. It's about nostalgia.
19.01.2022 John Brewer shared a delightful look down from Kings Park over what was a great big friendly country town in 1947. Converted on a telecine machine, it's still gives us a fine idea of what the town looked like 72 years ago in glorious colour.
18.01.2022 Old films take me back and what better place than the favourite holiday destination of Albany.
16.01.2022 Unlock our past and allow us to convert your aging movie reels to a digital format you can enjoy again at the touch of a button. Film shared with the kind permission of Richard Evans whose father Max recorded many many films of day to day life and their holidays such as we can appreciate here alongside the Perth Airport pond home to those snappy Swans. #lostperth #lostaviation
06.01.2022 I'm sure we have all seen plenty of footage from the Commonwealth Games at Perry Lakes but I've never had the pleasure of seeing Dawn Fraser at Beatty Park?
05.01.2022 A young lady I went to school with married a young man from a neighboring school who are so much in love today. We received 8mm footage converting it and the gentlemen has done some exceptional editing showcasing the young ladies life thus far. Priceless to save those memories to share.
