20.01.2022 Fun fact - if the first of the month is a Thursday, the third Thursday of the month is the 15th; i.e. this week, not next as one befuddled individual believed. Sorry about that! So, short notice this month. This Month we are off to France to enjoy "The Trouble with You" a comedy drama about a recently widowed detective who finds the truth about her departed husband is not all she thought it to be.... Doors will open at 6:30, the film will screen at 7:00. To ensure we comply with social distancing requirements please move into the auditorium as soon as you have been scanned in. A few reminders: All 2020 memberships have been extended for 2021, full memberships until December 31st and 3 month memberships for the outstanding months remaining. Please bring your card with you, if you have lost it let us know and we can replace for a $5 replacement fee. 09.01.2022 On Thursday 18th February we will be screening our second film for 2021. Moving from the "Far East" to Eastern Europe, February sees Reels popping behind the Iron Curtain for a hot romance during a cold war. In 1950's Poland two people fall in love, but their different backgrounds and temperaments make a difficult situation almost impossible. Named for its time "Cold War" was one of two foreign language films (the other being "Roma") nominated for the Academy Award for best ...director in 2018. 08.01.2022 Barring any unexpected turns we will be getting our 2021 program underway on Thursday 21st January. The doors will be open from 6:30, we ask that once you are through the check-in process you go straight into the auditorium and take your seat. We will finally be showing the Academy Award winning "Parasite" - the Korean satirical .comedy/drama. All 2020 memberships will be extended into 2021, full memberships until December 31st and 3 month memberships for the outstanding mon...ths remaining. 04.01.2022 Our March screening will be on the 11th, the **Second** Thursday of the month. This month we will watching the Japanese comedy/drama "After the Storm". After the figurative storm of a series of poor decisions Ryota is given the opportunity to reunite with his estranged and distrusting family by an actual storm. Thanks to every body who voted in our virtual Starbox. 39 members awarded 3.5 stars to "Parasite" and 48 rated "Cold War" 3.6. Now that I know how I'll get the virtual...
