23.01.2022 We are often asked about the different types of front rollers on reel mowers. Below are our options: 1. Solid Aluminium 2. Stainless with acetal end caps 3. Wiehle Roller (grooved aluminium)... All 3 options come with pressed bearings, spacers, washer and nyloc jam nut. The solid aluminium and stainless rollers can be used all year. The main difference, apart from material is the mass. The solid aluminium rollers are a good 3kg heavier. This extra weight presses the grass blades down more and gives better striping as a result. The Wiehle roller is used during growing season (spring/summer) and gives a more aggressive cut. It helps the mower sit tighter to the ground and gives a more accurate height of cut, with no ‘floating’ effect. These grooved rollers are typically used on low manicured lawns, but you can also use them on higher cut grass. We suggest you pair it with either the solid Ali or stainless roller. We also offer original rollers for Scott Bonnar 45’s, but we are mostly asked about our bearing rollers. 03.01.2022 **Coronavirus Impacts** Dear Customers, Please be advised that we are experiencing some delays in both production and shipping due to Covid-19. We are doing our best to fill orders based on date of order via the website. Please note that due to border closures, some deliveries can be delayed by 3 working days. We use courier services along with AusPost.... All aerators are with the electroplaters and will ship in early-mid September. Grooved and solid aluminium rollers will be sent out next week.
