23.01.2022 Another successful certificate of registration student- congratulations to Robert Spear.

22.01.2022 Figures released this month by Office of Fair Trading show NSW now has 19,463 certificate holders (up from 14,800 in 2008); 31,094 licensed agents (up from 17,008 in 2008). An astonishing increase of over 14,000. I believe this reflects the individuals desire to be at the top end of their profession with as much education in their toolbox as possible.... If you havent yet obtained your Cert IV qualifications, talk to us at Real Estate Explained or check out reexplained.com.au Credit tab to investigate what units you might receive credits for competency.

PLUS additional 3 hours business focus for Licensees-in-Charge; Certificate of Registration increases from 4 units to 7; ALL new certificate holders to upgrade to the Cert IV qualification within 4 years of receiving their COR including working towards it right from the start; ALL current CO...R holders to transition to the Cert IV qualification within 4 years of the announcement (may be shorter - tba); Licensees-in-Charge to upgrade to the Diploma with a probable transition of 12 - 24 months; Restoring previous requirement of real estate experience to the license. Expected 12 months for license and 2 years for licensee-in-charge. REAL ESTATE EXPLAINED currently deliver the CPD; COR & Certificate IV. We can also deliver the Diploma in Property Services. 02.01.2022 The Review of Training in the Property Sector Paper commissioned by NSW Fair Trading has just been released with some interesting suggestions/statements that would affect ALL real estate agents. Certificate of Registration v License... Although the analysis of risk leads to the conclusion that the Certificate IV is an adequate qualification for a licensee, it does identify that there are gaps in the knowledge of certificate holders. If licensees comply with their supervisor...y obligations under the PSBA, this should not translate into a risk for consumers. However, there are issues with the level of supervision by industry (ie. principals / licensees-in-charge). (There is a recommendation the COR will increase from 4 units to 7.) Licensee-in-Charge... Almost all respondents argued that the Licensee-in-Charge should have a Diploma. Largely, it was agreed that the responsibility for supervision, the management of trust accounts and the management of a business necessitated a higher level of training and skill than the ordinary licensed person. One respondent said that they are concerned about the lack of differential education qualifications attached to the appointment of a licensee-in-charge. This role requires greater knowledge and experience Real Estate Explained will post updates as they occur.
