15.01.2022 Why refined counselling? No 4 (last one promise). I am a Christian. My faith and relationship with God has made me who I am today. God is a refiner. A refiner's fire does not destroy indiscriminately like a forest fire. A refiner's fire does not consume completely like the fire of an incinerator. A refiner's fire refines. It purifies. It melts down the bar of silver or gold, separates out the impurities that ruin its value, burns them up, and leaves the silver and gold intact. God wants to see us shine like gold! I would love to help you find your gold. <3

10.01.2022 Why refined counselling? No 3 If you squint and turn your head to the side you could see refined as RE-FIND. Not really a word but hear me out. Sometimes as women (sorry guys) we get a little lost, we get caught up in life, kids, work and the years just fly by. Suddenly, you get to 40 something and your kids are grown and flown the coop. You feel like your still 24 but the mirror tells you something different. You have 'spare' time but you don't actually know what to do with it. Some where along the way you kind of 'lost' yourself. I would love to spend time with you working out who you are again. Let's see if we can re-find you or maybe discover you were actually there all along. <3

03.01.2022 Why refined counselling? No 2 Another definition of refined is 'elegant in appearance'. That defines my beautiful Mum. Mum passed away on the 28 June this year. It's still fresh. This photo is one of my favourites. It shows the Mum I want to remember. She was an amazing woman, always beautifully dressed, always serving others, and she had a big heart for people. The last few years have been hard, Mum had dementia. She slowly slipped away from us. The journey of dementia is often called the longest goodbye, and it was. Every time you visit, you notice a little piece of the person you know and love has gone. She is why I am taking a leap of faith, because I want to continue the legacy that she has left, to care for and serve the people that enter my world. I love you Mum and I think of you every day, I hope I make you proud. <3
