22.01.2022 The truth is, YOU are in control of your thoughts. . As you hear me say all the time, you create your reality through these 6 steps: beliefs > thoughts > emotions > actions > results > lifestyle . So if you find yourself feeling stressed out or anxious, BACK IT UP TO YOUR THOUGHTS and ask yourself what you have been thinking throughout the day.... . This will help you find clarity in WHY you are FEELING that way. . So for example, if the thoughts you've been having all day are "I have so much to do," "I'm never going to get this done," "I'm not good enough," "I wish I could be anywhere else," then OF COURSE YOU'RE FEELING STRESSED & OVERWHELMED! . You're literally telling yourself repeatedly that you are stressed. And what you think, you become. So in this case your thought patterns are working AGAINST YOU. . . Now even if you DO have so much to get done or whatever it is that is stressing you out CHANGE YOUR DIALOGUE. . Look at what you have ACCOMPLISHED already and CELEBRATE that. . Focus on taking ONE STEP AT A TIME, rather than focusing on the whole staircase in front of you. . Tell yourself that you are AMAZING and so grateful for this _______ (insert stressor) giving you the opportunity to ________ (insert positive intention). . Stop and take a break to BREATHE and stretch. I know you don't think you have time for a break, but you will actually be MORE PRODUCTIVE if you take a break. . By doing those 4 things, your thoughts will start working FOR YOU. Easy peasy lemon squeezy right? YOU are in charge of your dialogue . To sum it up, if you BELIEVE & THINK that you are stressed out, OF COURSE YOU ARE FEELING STRESSED OUT! . 21.01.2022 G A T H E R . When is the last time you slowed down, set an inviting table with flowers and candles, dimmed the lights, turned on dinner music, and shared a beautiful meal with good company, while actually enjoying every bite?

19.01.2022 F I N D I N G C A L M N E S S . There is polarity in everything, right? If you ask me, the opposite of calmness is stress and/or anxiety. . So how do you start moving down the spectrum from stressed out to calm?... . First, you have to know WHAT your stressors are - is it your job, money, family, etc? . Second, know what happens IN YOUR BODY when you're stressed (or ultimately BEFORE you get totally stressed out) - maybe you notice your heart rate increase, start sweating, get hot, your eye twitches, bite your nails, can't sleep? . [If you don't know the problem, then you can't manage it, so getting to the root cause is always the first step.] . And then, understand what CALMS and RELAXES you... and do them often! . We are all individual beings so find what works for YOU! But some common relaxers that come to mind are: Being in nature Deep breathing Practicing yoga or stretching Sitting in the sun Meditation Practicing gratitude Reading Creating Talking to a loved one Laughing Taking a bath Essential oils Journaling . I could go on and on, but that's a great start! . So to start moving down the line of "always stressed" to "most often calm," I urge you to make a RELAXATION MENU, or calmness menu, or whatever you want to call it! . ACTION: Create a list with a minimum of 10 things that relax you, post it somewhere you will see often as a reminder, and do AT LEAST 1 thing from that menu every single day! . 08.01.2022 H A B I T S . Habits are automatic. When we don't think about something and just do it... we have created a habit. . But how do we get to that point? They weren't always automatic right? That habit was actually built overtime... often because of what is EASY, what feels GOOD, and what the ENVIRONMENT allows.... . . So if you want to create a NEW habit... . Start by MAKING IT OBVIOUS & MAKING IT EASY . If you want to read more, take a book OFF the shelf and put it on your night stand. . If you want to eat more vegetables, BUY more vegetables and make them easily accessible and ready to eat in your fridge. . If you want to start working out in the morning, pick out your workout clothes the night before and put them next to your bed. . The truth is... we all have things we want to do, but just don't do them. . So if it is in your face consistently, you can't ignore it. I know, that sounds SIMPLE. But simple is effective! . So to kick off a new habit, focus on making it OBVIOUS and making it EASY. This will set you up for success from the start! . . Start by adding in a daily gratitude practice, and focus on the LITTLE things. . The more you focus on appreciating the small things, the more often you will look for and notice positive, amazing experiences every day! . My favorite way to implement this is either in a morning or nightly routine, or before dinner share what you're grateful for with your family - how special is that! .
