22.01.2022 Swale is now planted out and functioning perfect. Timing is everything sometimes, the sole reason we only did one third of the swale is so that we could definitely get it finished and planted before this rain. 3 trees, mullberry, persimmon and a fig. The in between is planted out with sweet corn, basil, ginger and lab lab so far. The other 2 thirds to come now.

13.01.2022 Inspecting the swale more closely yesterday and to my absolute glee I found what I was hoping to find! Moringa oleifera babies!! We were given a bag of seed a while back and during the move they got damaged; exposed to sub, water and rodents... I sorted what looked liked the best to keep and scattered the rest. Nature came through once again! I'm so excited for the health of ALL to have this plant Regarded as a super food. And used for thousands of years in the East. Th...e leaves have 7 times more vitamin C than oranges and 15 times more potassium than bananas. It also has calcium, protein, iron, and amino acids, which help your body heal and build muscle. It's also packed with antioxidants, substances that can protect cells from damage and may boost your immune system. You can drink it as a tea, or dry it out and powder it. One teaspoon of moringa powder a day provides all the essential vitamins, minerals and more a human body needs to thrive. All hail the humble yet mighty moringa!

10.01.2022 21 days after planting out the first swale section and here is the progress Due to the wet weather, we have not had to water the plants once!... this is the inspiration that keeps you going... super keen to get the rest of the swale finished and move into the next!
