20.01.2022 Hello We are almost through the first month of winter and just wanted to share some simple measures to prevent and treat symptoms of dry skin 1. Limit the time spent in the shower to approximately 5- 10 minutes as this can aggravate dry skin. 2. Moisturize immediately after washing hands or face to trap ... existing moisture in skin. 3. Ointments and creams are generally more effective than lotions. 4. Use lip balm to prevent cracking of lips. 5 Try to use unscented skin care products as these help the skin to retain its natural oils. 6. Wear gloves to minimize contact with harmful household chemicals and other substances on your hands 7. Choose non irritating laundry detergents and clothes. 8. Do not sit too close to an open flame or another heat source as this can dry your skin. 9. You can also consider the use of a dehumidifier just to add moisture to the air. 10. Also be extra careful with crawling infants and heaters. 11. Side effects of some medication can also cause dry skin.
