25.01.2022 Today I’m as happy as pig in mud Not only did our boy get a merit award (bragging is allowed) I got to hang out with Fergus in the nature play area. What an amazing space for children to be in. Problem solving, engineering, team work, nature, FMS, GMS and so the list goes on. So happy to see this is what our child gets to experience every day. A real childhood

24.01.2022 Wonder #4 If there were traffic lights and no laws would people still stop at a red light? Age42.2 Yes for most cars but some would just go up a kerb and through the red light because they can. Age 16... I think very quickly people would act towards their personality type. Age 42.2 I can’t imagine the laws not being there... that’s weird. I think 99% of people would stop at a red light. Age 42.5 WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS?

23.01.2022 Wonder #5 At breakfast this morning our 8 year old had a wonder...... I wonder how many digits are in a goggolplex? Age 8.1 ... It has a lot zeros in it but I don’t know how many. Age 8.1 After lifting my jaw up off the ground that this question was even a thing I responded with......What is a goggolplex? I’ve never heard of it! Is it something to do with google? Age 42.5 What’s a goggolplex? Age 16 A goggol is a big number and the plex...... It has a lot of zeros after it. Let’s google it. Age 42.2 What is a goggolplex? Age 14..6 Hmmmmmm, some research is needed on this one.

19.01.2022 Wonder #3 I wonder why cars have to run on engines? Why can’t you exercise and work them with your feet and leg muscles? Age 8.1 Maybe because the designers of the car engines get paid more money. If it is just like a string or a rope it just cost $2 and is exercise age 8.1... By having engines it gets you places quicker and provides jobs for the people making the engines and then servicing them. Age 42.5 Because it would hurt and take you forever to get to your destination. Age 16 Because it’s to much effort and people are to lazy to do it. Age 14.6 People are lazy, they don’t want to do things with their feet and legs. People want easy and a car engine gives you that. Age 42.2

15.01.2022 Today I attended some training in the city and throughout the day there were many things that had me wondering. I also had a few moments of awe where I actually took the time to view the beauty and amazement. It got me thinking........ Do we make time for Wonder and Awe? Do we ever stop and give our wonders a second thought or the time they deserve? If we did, would it make us think deeper? think differently? question more? create discussion? Surely there can be no r...ight or wrong answer because they are wonders...... If we made a conscious effort to stop and take in the beauty or amazement around us, would we teach our brain to look for these things more often? Would it calm our busy worlds? Would it make us happier? More focused or observant? I'm setting a challenge / project for my family over the next month to look for beauty and amazement and capture it. To wonder and acknowledge these wonders by sharing them with each other and listening to others thoughts. I don't know where this will lead or what I want to achieve from it, but for now I'm curious and that's enough. Every day I will share you you our Wonder and Awe....... Stay tuned :)

14.01.2022 Awe Today before work I went for a walk/jog along the coast. Out in the ocean near some surfers were a pod of dolphins. It was a beautiful sight. I never took a photo as I didn’t have my phone with me. When I got back to the car, I decided to walk down to the water for a look. Although the dolphins were gone, there were so many other just as amazing sights. Today I have learnt awe is all around us. We just need to look up.

09.01.2022 Wonder #2 I wonder why trees are green and not purple? age 14.6 Because they need sun light to grow and the sun is next to the sky and blue and yellow make green. age 14.6... Because God wanted green trees age 8.6 (friend) It’s a scientific thing, I don’t know what it is. age 16 Because there is green in the roots and then it just comes out the trees. age 8.1 Who says they are green? Who says green is green? age 42.2 Hmmmmm, it’s something to do with chlorophyll. age 42.5

08.01.2022 Wonder #1 Why did the driver behind us today get so angry when we changed lanes in front of him? There was space for us to move there. Fiona age 42.4 He was running late for work and by us merging in front of him, it made him even later. age 42.4... Maybe his car was bigger in a smaller space and he couldn't fit and might crash. age 8.1 Maybe he woke up on the wrong side of the bed. age 16 He was having a bad day and getting frustrated with everything. age 14.5 It's a conditioned response. He doesn't think, he just acts. It's automatic. age 42.2
