24.01.2022 A beautiful morning to remember those who have fallen. Anzac Day is such a special day in our house for many reasons. For the past few years I have been privileged to sing at the Glenelg dawn service, this year I stood on my driveway and sung to my neighbours. 2020 might look a little different, but today was more inclusive and made more special with all my neighbours lighting a candle and stopping for a minutes silence. Lest We Forget.

Most teachers offer online teaching and will be continuing to do so while the world is stopping. Music is a wonderful distraction from the outside world and provides students with techniques to cope with all that is going on. Talk to your teacher today about transitioning to online learning.

15.01.2022 If you have some spare time in the next couple of days. This dropped at 4am. All the big shows in the UK have come together to celebrate reopening the West End. For the past 18 months, we have loved watching the shows they have put on each weekend. Loved watching friends in Love Never Dies. Loved being able to show the kids professional productions during this crazy time. Loved how all of my kids found something to appreciate in Music Theatre. https://youtu.be/8_3FoYTqVL8... 14.01.2022 Rocking the self-isolation with many thanks to Glamour Me - Jewellery. Going to be doing a little video today. During this crazy time, we need to look after our mental health. For me, that means sitting in front of the piano and singing. People are often surprised to hear that Im not on stage, or that Ive not gone on a reality show. Truth is, I love the stage. I love performing. Last time I was on stage in front of a full house was when I was 36 weeks pregnant with H. I ha...d so much fun performing with the most wonderful people (and freaking people out when I turned to walk off stage. One night there was a midwife in the front row who left a message to say she was ready for me to go into labour) Performing is so much more than standing on stage singing. It lets people feel every emotion possible. You can take people on such an incredible roller coaster ride. That is why I will try my hardest to give people hope and some love during this time. The current requests in this house are Moana, Frozen, and Come From Away.....what do you want to hear? (Also would LOVE to turn these into little duets.....)

12.01.2022 With the cancellation of Anzac Day services, it has been suggested that we stand in our driveways and hold our own commemorative service. The South Australian Band Association has made this a little easier by providing sheet music for any instrument. Hold a special vigil from the ends of your driveway. Light a candle, say a prayer. Come together as a street.
