01.01.2022 Have you thought about COVID’s impact on Australia’s population? The Federal Government’s Centre for Population says the total population across capital cities is estimated to be around 5% lower by 30 June 2031 than it would be had COVID-19 not existed. By contrast, population outside the capitals in our regions is estimated to be a mere 2% smaller. At RAI, we’ve been working on our National Awareness Campaign to encourage an even greater shift from the capitals to our regions to rebalance the country’s population. Watch this space! #RegionsRising
