25.01.2022 Some of our Hurstville residents have been sharing a few jokes amongst each other as they socialised over coffee in the Home. After a few good, bad and awful jokes, our residents thought it would be a beautiful idea to share these with their fellow residents in our Victorian Homes as a gesture of support and kindness. Moments like these are to be forever cherished thank you for your kindheartedness.

25.01.2022 As part of our Cultural Diversity Day, Maria Cufari and Maria DePalma, two of our Italian residents, helped wash and dry olives in the sun for all of our residents to indulge in. The delicious olives were kindly supplied by the Cufari family for this wonderful event. Thank you!

24.01.2022 Our Maroochydore garden is booming with produce so much that our team have had to build another garden bed to fit all the seedlings! Our residents and staff recently harvested some of their delicious radishes and delivered them straight to the kitchen to add to the salad orders. Yum!

24.01.2022 This week saw a special treat for our residents at Regis Playford. Cheeky, our Lifestyle Coordinators horse, treated our residents to a much needed visit. Cheeky loves his job as a therapy horse and loves the attention residents give him when they pat, hug and even give him carrots. Cheeky doesnt like apples though... Cheeky is a 22 year-old Few Spot Appaloosa who retired 4 years ago from jumping and dressage. He is loving retirement and loves to visit our home. Our residents look forward to his visits and are looking forward to him returning in December for a Christmas visit where he may perform some steps to a song or two.

24.01.2022 One of Regis Shenley Manors favourite activities amongst the ladies is flower arranging. Every fortnight the ladies spend time putting together the most amazing flower arrangements for all our residents to enjoy. Beautiful!

24.01.2022 Tiwi resident John has a true passion for music and our Lifestyle Team ensure he always gets his fix. John especially loves it when our Lifestyle Team bring out the guitar and strum a few tunes for some one-on-one time with him - he exclaims that it touches his soul and makes him very happy whenever he hears music.

21.01.2022 Its incredible what teamwork, dedication and having a meaningful goal can achieve. Our residents at Regis Sandgate Griffith have come together to work on a passion project of theirs - to create their very own garden house and trolley for home grown fruit and veg. Getting involved in projects such as these provide so many positive benefits to our residents. Notably, its a wonderful way to build strong friendships and engage in interesting conversations.

19.01.2022 The winner in the 2020 Initiative or Innovation of the Year award is Regis Elermore Vale. One of the challenges experienced by residents through Covid-19 has been their limited ability to get out and do a bit of shopping or having their loved ones come into the home to bring them shopping items. The team at Elermore Vale could see the impact this was having on the residents and came up with an idea for a shopping trolley that would bring the shops to their home and allow them to select what they would like. This process involved the residents, their families and the team at Elermore Vale and the success speaks for itself the residents have choice and feel a sense of independence and excitement each time the trolley comes around.
