24.01.2022 With the last of the cherry tomatoes now harvested, and a whole year to wait for the next harvest, we certainly weren't going to let them go to waste. The very best tomato paste comes from these little beauties. Organically grown, vine ripened, picked, washed and cooked down, then bottled and in the freezer, to be defrosted and used as required. This also makes an amazing pizza sauce. Yummo! #tomatoes #organicgardening #homestead #preserving #paddocktoplate #produce #chiltern #foodporn

20.01.2022 Spaghetti squash have nearly been as prolific as our pumpkins this year.. We use it in so many amazing dishes, as a low carb, gluten free, paddock to plate, pasta replacement. So yummy with vegetarian pasta sauce, and equally as nice, served with a creamy Carbonara sauce. They only grow for a limited time, so we make the most of the excess when they are around. #spaghettisquash #organicgardening #paddocktoplate #nodig #homestead #homesteading #seasonaleating #vegetarian

13.01.2022 Marlow wants to know if anyone has snacks... kale? Cabbage? Carrot tops? Anything?? #hungrybunny #flemmishgiant #rabbit #homestead #marketgarden #nodig #bunny

04.01.2022 The Kale is still growing at our patch of Earth, despite the nights getting colder.. We have quite the excess, and there is only so much our rabbits and ourselves, can eat... So what better way to use it, than by making Kale Chips... Just a little bit of oil, some garlic powder, and into the dehydrator for a cpl of hours to crisp. Store in an airtight container. Yummo! #kale #kalechips #organicgardening #homestead #paddocktoplate #chiltern #produce #farmlife

04.01.2022 Whilest we love this time of year, when all the leaves turn from green to reds and yellows, it is also somewhat sad, as all the reds and yellows that have been in our garden growing like crazy things, are now beginning to die. What better way to hold onto some of the abundant produce harvested this week, than to turn my trusty dehydrator on, and dry our chilli for flakes. I can't say that it is a pleasant job.. I also can't say that I don't have to trundle my machine to outside our house... What I can say, is that it is a fantastic way to avoid touching your face... #chilli #dehydrator #produce #organicgardening #paddocktoplate #homestead #autumn #harvest #nodig #chemicalfree
