24.01.2022 Saying SORRY means you don’t do it again. My mum was co-commissioner with Sir Ronald Wilson for Victoria, hundreds and hundreds of stories from people ripped ...from their mothers arms. It’s 2020 and we still have increasingly high rates of removal of Aboriginal children from their families. #WhenWillThisEnd #StopStealingOurBabies

22.01.2022 Ryde needs social housing to give security to the most vulnerable people in our community: families, youth, and single parents who do not have access to a home. The Liberal government is putting the profit margins of developers ahead of making sure that these people have a roof over their heads. We deserve better.

19.01.2022 They’ve done it again

17.01.2022 For 1000 days Ryde Council has been waiting for the NSW State Government to approve our significant Affordable Housing plan. This, along with Social Housing, is... where the Federal and State governments should be focusing their building and development grants. The Planning Minister, Rob Stokes, could approve this tomorrow with the stroke of a pen.

13.01.2022 "We will offer every young person a guaranteed job on one of these nation-building, planet-saving projects if they want one, or a free place at uni or TAFE or an income they can actually live on" - Adam Bandt, The Australian Greens

10.01.2022 Reminder - new members meeting this afternoon. Check your emails. See you there

08.01.2022 Some better news from today!

07.01.2022 The industrial relations reform we actually need.

03.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who came on Tuesday to protest about the lack of action by government to save critical habitat at the IBM site. Not a bad turnout for a weekday morning during a COVID pandemic. Time for the NSW government to live up to their promises. Declare a national park - NOW - before it's too late. We're losing our heritage, built and natural, at an alarming rate - time to stop.

03.01.2022 On Easter Monday Greens members received an electronic ballot asking if you would like to choose future leaders of the Australian Greens. Unlike other Greens pa...rties around the world, there is no membership involvement in the Australian Greens leadership selection process. The leader is selected exclusively by the federal party room which is made up of just ten Greens MPs. The Greens NSW support the One Member, One Vote option - Australian Greens members vote on your ballot. A motion was passed at a state delegates council last year formalising this position. You should’ve received an email from OpaVote Voting Link with the subject line Member Plebiscite - Method for selecting the federal parliamentary leader. Click the Vote button in that email to vote. If you have not received this email be sure to check your spam or junk mail folder, or email [email protected] You can follow this Greens for Democratic leadership How to Vote card if you’re supporting One Member, One Vote.
