21.01.2022 In these uncertain times, with so many people stuck inside and needing something to cheer them up, we thought there's no better reason than this to share the joyous sounds of the full Tropical Serenaders 1961 album with the World. It's a preliminary restoration, the other 2 remaining copies in existence are being recovered and restored for the official release, which will have some tracks with less skipping and damaged parts than the ones present in this copy which is from th...e first disk to re-emerge from hibernation after 59 years. We hope this brightens up someone's spirits, it never fails to make us happy hearing it. Please Share Responsibly. Stay Safe. Wash Your Hands. <3 #Regrowth #RegrowthLegacyRecords #TropicalSerenaders https://soundcloud.com//tropical-serenaders-1961-album-unr

07.01.2022 Hot stuff. Ken Cock's 1930s Rickenbacher Lap Steel guitar and custom built Australian amplifier. These pics just hit my inbox as I was reading up on this guitar's history, which was kinda cool and spooky!... It's almost certainly a 1930s model, with the original spelling "Rickenbacher" with a 'ch' instead of 'ck', which they changed to during the 2nd World war period to sound less German to the American public. Widely hailed as the first true solid body electric guitar ever manufactured, it is indeed a milestone instrument, and a fantastic sounding one too. I know Ken has only just pulled this guitar out of storage today, the first time in approximately 20 years, I'm extremely grateful to Ken for going to the trouble so I could see a picture of it. I hope he is inspired to play it, I know I would be tempted to tickle such a fine old set of strings again if it were mine? Thank you Ken! <3 #rickenbacher #1930s #electro #model #B #lapsteel #guitar #valve #amplifier #vintage #heaven
03.01.2022 The hard-working people who provide the soundtrack to Australian life need your help, right now. Australian artist crew and music workers are amo...ng some of the most vulnerable with regards to job stability and mental wellbeing. Almost overnight, COVID19 has devastated the industry, leading to the cancellation of thousands of events and threatening the livelihood of an entire sector. These people have lost income that cannot be replaced. The music world has historically banded together to donate time and money to those in need, as seen recently with bushfire relief. Now they need the Australian music-loving public to do the same. This is a real and present crisis, and this is a very real SOS. If we don’t act now and soon the only sound we’ll hear in future?
