25.01.2022 Brings a whole new meaning to money laundering but as some customers still wish to use cash, we have disinfected all notes and coins on the premises. We have also disinfected our cash drawer. Customers wanting to pay with cash will be asked to drop it into our 5L bucket of disinfectant and will be given change from our sterile float. All customers money will then go through the same 3 stage process of disinfectant clean - hot rinse - disinfectant finish before being handled by staff. Stay safe folks!

21.01.2022 Sadly the whole Covid situation has meant that we actually forgot to celebrate our 40 years in business here in Vic Park last Saturday. Like so many other small businesses we were busy trying to navigate stimulus package announcements, new HR rules, disinfecting our shop and cash and all the other fun stuff small businesses owners have to deal with. 11.01.2022 Following 40 years of this business being in the same family Reids Bootmakers is changing owners. Joe & Erica would like to thank the community of Victoria Park for the support over the last 14 years since we took over from Erica’s parents Kevin & Lynne and in particular during 2020 when every local business was doing it tough. Over the last 8 years we have been developing our 2nd business in Reids Remotes offering replacement remote controls for garage doors, electric gates..., car alarms and of course cutting and programming car key. This business known as Reids Remotes has grown to a size where we need to have a workshop where we can carry out the programming of car keys to more modern vehicles and so the decision was made to separate the 2 businesses and focus all our efforts on Reids Remotes. This new location for Reids Remotes is Unit 8, 207 Bank St, East Vic Park and we hope to be able to continue to help the local community from little jobs such as a battery in a remote or a couple of house keys to the larger jobs such as lost car keys or garage & gate remotes. 10.01.2022 Bought online as new old stock but the insole disintegrated as soon as the customer wore them. We removed the old vinyl insole and padding. Replaced the padding and covered it in leather.
