11.03.2022 People often ask me why I’m so passionate about #Reiki. Apart from the most important reason that it led me back to my true self and my connection with the Universe, there’s actually another very simple reason. And somewhat selfish. When I give a treatment, I get a treatment ... That’s right. Whenever a Reiki Practitioner gives any kind of treatment (hands-on or distant), we receive a healing too. How does it work? I like to explain it to my clients using this analogy. Picture a triangle in your mind I am one point of the triangle, my client is one point and Universal Life Force Energy is at the top. The client’s body is drawing the Reiki energy THROUGH my body into their own from The Universe. So the energy flows through/from all three points. After treating a Reiki client I feel so alive and happy and my husband always comments that I have my Reiki glow on. After a full day of Reiki, the only thing that can get tired is my body, from standing up all day. My soul is ALIVE!

Regardless of which stage you are at, over the next few weeks, we will delve deeper into how it works One of my dearest friends is a medical professional, and whenever reiki comes up in conversations, it goes like this: Karen: but how does it work Maggie? Please give me the scientific principles this crazy hippy sht is based on.... Me: This hippy sht works on the principles of #quantum #physics, that we are all made of #energy which flows in and around us. That energy flow can become blocked. I help unblock it. Karen: *lots of * Yeah, right. So, where’s the evidence? The actual and factual studies? Me: Well there aren’t that many, but the anecdotal evidence says- Karen: So there’s no evidence! Do you know how long I had to study to understand the workings of the human body? Or do you think I got my degrees off the back of the kid’s cereal packets? You don’t believe in this crap, do you? Me: Why don’t you just come and have a session with me. Karen: Fine. I’m free Monday. Karen is an excellent medical doctor but also a bit of a sceptic on most complementary healing therapies. She does have a point to a certain extent: there have been too few studies conducted on how #Reiki works to prove its efficacy categorically There are several very logical non-woo-woo reasons for this. One of the biggest reasons is that conducting a study under normal medical and scientific formats into Reiki is incredibly difficult What would the placebo be? How do we control human touch to show it has been used the ...same way on the same ailments? How do we measure the effect of human touch? How do we document the ‘biofield’ beyond heart rate and blood pressure (which, by the way, both show improved and beneficial outcomes)? The University of Minnesota has a well-referenced article you can read on the challenges facing the documentation of Reiki in scientific studies in more detail http://ow.ly/unxj50AY8Xt Interestingly, one fact that jumped out from the above article was this: ‘Aspirin was used for 70 years before science began to understand how it works.’ We are only just beginning to understand scientifically how #universal #lifeforce #energy works from the simple perspective that our ‘scientific’ led way of learning hasn’t worked out how to measure it yet. Can you imagine Karen’s reaction to that? Even here in Australia, Reiki is being used throughout hospitals to help alleviate the stress levels of some patients. Here’s an excerpt from a study conducted in Australia, and published by the Natio...nal Center for Biotechnology Information in the US: Reiki is being employed with good effect in some hospitals, cancer support centres, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres, and in palliative care.... 04.01.2022 I used to believe I had to do everything on my own. It stemmed from not wanting to depend on others. If I depended on others, wouldn’t they just let me down?... Like my own Mother did when she put me up for adoption at birth. Yep, that’s what I used to think. Blame Anger Rejection Abandonment I’ll fix my own problems. I’ll shift my negative patterns. I don’t need anyone’s help. But I couldn’t seem to on my own. To ask someone for help, there had to be TRUST and I was low on that. TRUST that I wouldn’t be rejected again. TRUST to let go of what had kept me safe for so long. It took me a very long time. But slowly, I uncovered answers. Slowly I learnt to trust, myself and others. Slowly I started asking for help. And I discovered that I didn’t always need to do it on my own. There were amazing people out there who guided me, supported my journey and helped to shift my mindset, using a variety of tools and modalities. Sure, sometimes I still get let down. But that’s my sh*t, not theirs. Unrealistic expectations that I carried into the exchange? Poor communication in explaining what I wanted? Doesn’t really matter because NOW I realise it’s never THEM, it’s always ME. MY belief. MY story. MY sh*t. So I chose to let go of that a long time ago. And life is sooo much better! You don’t HAVE to do everything on your own. Yes, the answers are withIN, but sometimes you need help getting them OUT! Sometimes you NEED someone else to facilitate and guide the process and help uncover the beliefs that aren’t serving you. I have an AMAZING group of people around me who I lean on when I’m struggling or need help when life becomes challenging. Do you? 01.01.2022 Fear is an emotion induced by perceived danger or threat. The problem with fear is that we run and hide from it, allowing it to grow and take over our lives. When I was around 10 years old, my family took a trip to Girraween National Park, near Stanthorpe. ... There is a challenging climb up a sheer granite rock and, being very windy that day, was too much for me. I froze....unable to go either up or down. My Dad probably didn’t handle it too well and wasn’t very sympathetic to a sobbing young girl and my fear of heights kicked off . During the past school holidays we returned to The Rock and I was immediately delivered back to that day, all those years ago, on the same spot of the climb. I chose not to go up. I let fear control me. I let my thoughts take over and the memory played out again. I can’t do it, I’m scared.... I CHICKENED OUT! Then I caught myself..... I’d let fear control my life before and I DIDN’T like it. I move TOWARDS fear not away! I control my thoughts, NOT the other way around! Out I went again the next day and smashed it! I WON, not the fear! Every day we get choices - how we live, who we interact with, what thoughts we have. Everything is energy. Your thoughts. Your feelings. Your actions. It’s all ENERGY. Feel fear, embrace it and allow it to energise you!
