23.01.2022 Time to shift that thinking ...

22.01.2022 SPARKING EXTRAORDINARY FUTURES THROUGH EDUCATION When we were asked to help BUILD A SCHOOL OF THE FUTURE we knew one thing for sure. Gone are the days of a leadership team doing strategy behind closed doors - that's if they are serious about reinventing themselves. Taking it "to the streets" and inviting their customers (students/teachers) and investors (parents/alumni) to co-design and shape the future with them accelerates the likelihood of coming up with viable strategies ...that are future-fit. We just love working alongside brave and inspired schools to make a real dent in the universe. Here's the thinking that makes them great: 1. Preparedness to challenge long-standing traditions. 2. Courage to question and disrupt the status quo. 3. Heightened sense of passion, drive and imagination. 4. Willingness to reimagine an enterprising new future. 5. Desire to make a dent in the universe that sparks a lasting legacy for generations to come. 18.01.2022 DO YOU SUFFER FROM THE P-DISEASE? No I am not talking about physical-related ailments, I am speaking about the anxiety that comes from PROCRASTINATION.. Small tasks often dominate our waking moments, so why do we put off doing them, knowing that if we took care of the little things our minds and energy would be more freed up to focus on what matters the most?... I can assure you that I am not lazy, I have a ridiculous bias toward action which aggravates many I am sure, but having to sit down and take care of minutia is my Achilles heel without doubt and make me sweat. I confess I would rather do just about do anything else, be anywhere else than take care of administrative tasks, pay bills or read LONG emails.. Sound like you? The good news is simple reframing techniques can help you get back on track. That is what we learnt about with Bethan Winn at her insightful lunch and learn session hosted by the ever gracious Duc Pham in support of Foodbank WA. Thanks for the invitation! #procrastination #reframing #cognitivedissonance #criticalthinkingskills #organisationalpsychology #agilemindset

17.01.2022 This Friday is your chance to learn more and ask any questions you have about Trail-Blazer 2021.

10.01.2022 ANSWER THE CALL - WHAT DOES THE WORLD NEED FROM YOU? Single, female, homeless. This is Australia’s shameful crisis that we don’t talk about. Older women are the fastest-growing cohort of homeless people in Australia today. And for many, it’s an unexpected life shock that tipped them into destitution. Trail-blazer Justine McKinnon came into the program with a deep knowing that her successful career as a Senior HR Executive was no longer filling her energy tanks. She was feeli...ng bored and unfulfilled. Justine had reached a point in her life where she was being called to do something different in her life. To use her voice in a bigger way. To use her talents to break new ground and create the life she had only dreamt about. She just didn’t know how or where to start. After working with the Trail-blazer team on uncovering her strengths and passions and setting a vision for what she wanted to create, Justine recognised her desire to become a social innovator, combining her passion for property development and a greater calling to help homeless women find somewhere to live. Justine has recently founded Shared-Space with the single vision to create some of WA’s most inspiring co-living ventures to deliver co-living residents collaborative and inspired living experiences. She has joined forces with game-changing industry partners to tackle some of the tougher challenges our cities face female homelessness. Do you feel something bubbling up inside of you? What is impatiently tugging, nagging, bursting to come forth? WHAT IS RISING WITHIN YOU? Find out more about how you, or a member of your team, can step into their trail-blazing potential with our information webinar on 15 January: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/.../trail-blazers-2021-info.... 10.01.2022 In today's modern world, the success of a female leader depends on her ability to be a unicorn, to be a trail-blazer and lead both herself and others with courage, conviction and the insatiable hunger to be more, do more and create more. A study conducted by Caliper, a Princeton-based management consulting firm, assessed the potential of more than two million applicants and employees for over 25,000 companies around the world and found that women leaders are more assertive an...d persuasive, have a stronger need to get things done and are more willing to take risks than their male counterparts. Women leaders were also found to be naturally hard-wired to be highly empathic and flexible, and strong in interpersonal skills. Yet, so many seem to be waiting to be 100% ready for an opportunity instead of allowing themselves to put those natural leadership skills into action and learn while doing. The Trail-Blazer program helps participants to build the courage and skills to shape their own future and lead from a place of power, purpose and intention. Want to learn more? Join us on our upcoming webinar https://www.eventbrite.com.au/x/trail-blazers-2021-info-web or head to the website https://www.trailblazingleaders.com.au/ for more information. Ready to SOAR? 10.01.2022 THAT’S A WRAP: What an opportunity to engage in a deep discussion on gender equality and my book for an upcoming series on @foxtelaustralia. We still have a long way to go but that doesn’t mean that we can’t all do our bit to try and influence meaningful change and use our voices to ask for we want for the world

05.01.2022 HOW DO YOU WANT TO BE SEEN? Last week I had the privilege of attending the book launch of former tech executive turned celebrity fashion blogger and personal brand coaching power-house Songy Knox. It’s a personal brand playbook to kick-start an intense personal awareness journey. Using her SEEN acronym which begins with Step 1. SELF-DISCOVERY, Songy highlights the need for working on the inner before real change can happen to have lasting impact on self and others.... I have personally had the Songy experience - which was life enhancing for me. Congratulations Songy! Highly recommend everyone grabbing a copy and diving in to the book. You can order yours here - https://www.songyknox.com.au/beseen/ #personalbrandingcoach #personalbrand #storytelling #makinganimpact #authenticleadership #authenticself #personaltransformation #womeninbusiness #womenentrepreneurs #trailblazer

01.01.2022 CELEBRATION: I so often get caught up in the busyness of my life that I don’t always take the time to celebrate all of the incredible opportunities that come into my life. That’s why I made it one of my New Year’s Resolutions to intentionally slow down to acknowledge what’s important - my family, my friends and colleagues, my home, my work and the simple fact of having the extraordinary blessing to live such a privileged life in a beautiful and very lucky country. It’s 12 ye...ars today since my return from a very stressful but exhilarating executive career in Canada. What do you do to take time out and celebrate your life and milestones even the little ones which are helping you get to where you want to be / to be the person you are wanting to become? It’s not always easy I know but you owe it to yourself - slow down and smell the rosebuds - I’m working on savouring every moment of my life and being the best version of myself every day.
