25.01.2022 Health Minister announces an extra 10 sessions for mental health support Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt has announced an expansion of the governments mental health program with Victorians to receive a further 10 sessions of psychology and psychiatry support through the Medicare system.

19.01.2022 UPDATES AND INFORMATION: Medicare subsidised sessions The extended Better Access subsidised psychological therapy program which includes an additional 10 Medicare psychological therapy sessions for people subjected to further restrictions in areas impacted by the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic will require people to have a review of their Mental Health Treatment Plan with their GP in order to access the additional sessions. The additional Medicare subsidised sessions w...ill allow people in eligible areas who have already used their 10 sessions to continue to receive mental health care during the pandemic until 31 March 2021.
