24.01.2022 I contracted to a company in Qld as a mobile beauty and massage therapist. Worked for them from late Feb to June. They asked me to sign a contract and national... police check. Don't have a problem doing this. In the contract they explained that I had to purchase some of their products, again no problems. Invoice had to be in on a Tuesday to be paid on Wednesday The first couple of invoices they paid what I expected. But then they paid two very odd amount. That I had invoiced to them. After sending more invoices in to be paid. All sent by express post. I thought something was not right so I check my bank account and found that only two more had been paid. By this time there had been send about six extra invoices. In total 13 invoices So stupid me didn't worry until right towards the last week or two, when I receive a phone call from the company saying that they had a complaint from the client saying that I cut the treatment short. I explained that they were late back from lunch and that I had to set up two rooms. So as the end of the financial year came around I checked my account to see if everything had been paid. Well no. So rang company and asked what was wrong person didn't know, so I asked to speak to the manager. About 10 minutes later she rings me saying " that I was luck to have her ring me back as her financial day was a Wednesday." I asked why I had been paid. She said that I hadn't receive my invoices. So I emailed her and attached was a spreadsheet with invoice no, amount and deposit and days she had made. She emails back and say don't know what this is. Ask me to sent all copies of invoices again. So I did in yet again by express post. Received to here place 30/6/16. Rang her on 1/7/16 asked if she had received it. She replies that I don't go into the office until a Tuesday. So I said why had my invoice not been paid. She said they never received so I tried to explain that they had but she kept say stop talking over her. So in the end I terminated my contract with the company there and then as the contract said that either party had to give 4 weeks. So at the end of the so called conversation I said that I would take them to the small claims board. Her words were try because I will not pay you. But I reread the contract and they are in breach of their own contract. I will not give out her name or the company. But will give the location base in Qldand that is Mt Tamborine. In all I work for this company for 33 hours and they owe me 17.5 hours. I have had legal advise on what I have said above and this the truth.
