07.01.2022 As the gum leaves in the Fly Point National Park at our backdoor begin to rustle with the grandeur of the late afternoon breeze (which i hereby appropriately name "The Nelson Bay Doctor"), the daily dose of afternoon sunlight beams directly into our backyard, and the ritual for a "bucket" of Bacardi and some Doritos is again on the cards (after a hard days work of... doing "nothing!"). "Kenny the Kookaburra" arrives for his afternoon dose of crappy Steak (won at the raffles) and the lorikeets begin to pop in on the bird feeder for their afternoon visit and dose of bird seed, screeching to each other show who is in control. These little critters are so loud they even manage to scare off the Magpies and even the Galahs (present company excluded) who have also joined the party to get the leftovers from the mornings Bacon rinds. This simple form of rest and relaxation is something one day I will easily come accustomed to. "Sooner rather than later," I say to myself with baited breath. Next month (ANZAC day to be precise), will be the 5th year since we purchased our "home away from home". The name we gave to this hearty little abode was simply "Relax & Unwind". Well i can tell you, it has lived up to this name, tenfold! Those of you lucky enough to have shared our little piece of paradise will surely attest. CHEERS !

06.01.2022 Another happy guest ! Thx for the review! Location, Location, Location... This place offered us everything we needed for a relaxing few days away at a very cost-effective price. The rooms were all tastefully decorated and equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect with easy walking distance to shops and the waterfront. Lots of local attraction pamphlets and magazines were there in case you needed ideas on where to go and what to see and do. 05.01.2022 Relax and Unwind Theres a place on the coast called Nelson Bay where I love to rest and roam... I try to get there very often as its my home away from home. A morning stroll to Little Beach surely welcomes in the day To watch the fishermen try their luck while people swim and play The pelicans are a welcome sight all scouring for a feed Theres hope when the angler guts his catch, he will do the good deed A cuppa at the coffee shop while sitting for a rest Come back and watch at sunset, its when the bay is at its best Whether you take a dip at Dutchies or Fly Point amongst the bream Theres many a beach around the port for you all to have a swim With the dolphins frolicking freely theyre an awesome sight to see A memorable occasion will be had by all and everyone will agree The park at Fingal right on the point is named after a guy called Barry An awesome spot to watch the whales where some locals choose to marry A hush-hush place is Nelson Bay with few others of its kind The time is near to venture again lets relax and unwind
