23.01.2022 Social emotional learning is at the heart.
19.01.2022 Never stop singing out aloud.
19.01.2022 If you haven't seen this summary of what extends life, it's worth watching and taking note how many of these factors you do already. What's important with these factors is that they are all natural things you would do if you are connected deeply enough to your body and spirit. You wouldn't have to remember to do them. The less you are clogged up with past emotions and traumas the more you would do these things naturally because you will feel the impulses from your body and ...the real you, your spirit. So cultivate a deeper connection with your body, feel more of your real spirit self and do more of these life enhancing activities.
18.01.2022 Connection, good boundaries and more embodied movement can help heal a lot of our inner stress. This is a great example of how to do it.

17.01.2022 Regret.... Better to risk trying and know, than carrying the weight for years of what could have been.
17.01.2022 The benefits of slowing down and spending more time going within than running around chasing something externally of ourselves. I'm expecting a lot of people, without the external distraction, will discover a deeper part of themselves that they had lost long ago and where chasing to find it 'out there somewhere'. Being 'locked down' can help people to face and then clear old habitual egoic patterns that were created to distract from feeling and facing what they had buried away.
17.01.2022 Excellent advice.
16.01.2022 This is excellent.
16.01.2022 Men: Are you brave enough to be vulnerable? This is the challenge I have with male clients on a regular basis. Men are so culturally and socially conditioned to be strong. Any sign of sensitivity is seen as weakness. So openning up to heal is much harder for men. This brief TED video says it very well.
15.01.2022 If you want to be happier make sure that what you think about includes movement in your body. We are tapping on keyboards and screens a lot these days. When you do that there is usually no or little movement in the rest of your body. This is very unnatural for the human body, to be so still and the mind so over active. So make sure you do things in your day and your work that integrate plenty of thinking and movement together. You will feel a lot happier and your body will be much healthier for it. So use your hands more and make things. Spend more time expressing with your hands what you are thinking. Dance can do this very well. We already know the benefit of going for a daily walk - that's moving your legs. But don't forget your hands. Your whole nervous system needs movement and expression for more total health and wellbeing.
15.01.2022 The great wisdom of Gregg Braden. This is important to remember in times of added stress and trauma (Covid19.)
14.01.2022 This is a brilliant summary of who you really are. Worth saving and playing over and over at regular intervals. It can take some time to change deep ingrained old beliefs.
13.01.2022 In the age of the mobile, the always-on always-with-you computer, sit-spots are even more important to have each day. Your body craves this important connection to nature. It is vital to your health and well being. Your intellect may love the computer but your body loves nature. If you want to maintain a healthy mind and body, find and visit your sit spot each day.
11.01.2022 I love this explanation of how to love your children unconditionally. Can you accept their ordinariness?
10.01.2022 Seeing a therapist for your emotional and mental wellbeing should be just as normal as saying "I'm going to the gym". This is especially important for men. To feel free to openly talk about their emotions, fears, concerns and vulnerabilities. And then to have the courage to face then. Then they are on their way to being 'real men'.
09.01.2022 This is a great article summarising the effects Smart phones are having on us. All based on research done from around the world. Limiting their use is so important to your health and wellbeing.
09.01.2022 Joseph Campbell was a great teacher and mythologist. If you ever get a chance, watch the interview series The Power of Myth that he recorded with Bill Moyers many decades ago. Here are some great quotes by the man.
09.01.2022 This is a beautifully presented short description of what brings deep happiness and wellbeing to our lives. Finding meaning is much more fulfilling than chasing happiness.
08.01.2022 Denmark has got the process right with teaching kids about cooperation and the results show.
08.01.2022 In my experience this is so true. At the core of most addictions is a painful traumatic event and normally more than one, and/or prolonged repetition of an abuse. More resources are needed to help people heal the traumatic cause of the addiction. Once that reduces in intensity or completely releases, the addictive behaviour drops away.
08.01.2022 It's highly likely here in Australia we will be in lock down mode next week. If so, I will be running my mindfulness meditation classes online. More soon.
08.01.2022 THE VIRUS BUSTER The Virus Buster instruction video is a process that I have personally taught to clients and in my mindfulness meditation classes for over 30 years. It is also one that I have personally used for over 35 years to help combat and eliminate virus's that enter my body. (Haven't had or needed a flu shot in over 40 years.) It runs for 30 minutes, raw and uncut (no editing). All recorded in one take and at a normal natural pace, (like we would be if we were sitti...ng down together to have a personal one-on-one chat.) This makes it much easier to digest and learn. So when you have a chance to stop and learn some more healthy healing habits, grab a cup of tea, relax back, open your mind, and watch this video. Try it out and let me know what you experience and I am happy to answer any questions at any time. https://www.relaxedmind.com https://youtu.be/sSEldn7Fino
07.01.2022 This is excellent to see. A great step in the right direction. Emergency services need these methods more than most. They are confronted with trauma inducing events on a daily basis. They need access to a lot of self care methods.
04.01.2022 Out of the almost 1,000 books that I've purchased over the years in my library for my therapeutic work and personal development, if I only had the choice, to choose one book, to read by my bedside forever, it would be Eckhart Tolle's - The Power of Now.
04.01.2022 Couldn't pass up sharing this one
02.01.2022 You are already perfect underneath. Take time each day to brush off more of the past traumas, abuses and stresses you accumulated in this world. Come back home to living free, clear and at peace in your whole body. It IS possible and you CAN do this.
01.01.2022 It's easier to resolve feelings when you locate them in your body. This helps detach them from your over thinking mind and makes it much easier to resolve.
