23.01.2022 Hi Members :D Opening night is getting so close and we are so excited!!! We can't wait to see all of your work and to catch up with everyone on opening night. ...We will be having our traditional 'Bring a Plate to Share' catering, and we ask that all members bring along a little something to have with our champagne and celebration drinks. Opening Night is HUGE! to get organised, so anyone keen to help out, please drop us a line, we will need some ground crew before from 5 -6pm and after closing to help get set up and tidied up, and we'd love to hear from anyone keen to help out serving drinks on the night, a fun job where you get to say hello to everyone :D We are loving seeing all of the online entries coming through. 20.01.2022 Sneak peek into the #creativeprocess I brewed up some bush ink to keep me inspired during the creation of my upcoming solo exhibition Mother Earth - The art ...of keeping her nose above water... I used a slow brew method, simmering some Goldfields gum and steel dogspikes to create the most delicious, thick, black syrupy ink It's 100% Goldfields Bush The smell of it is just devine Join me for Opening Night Mother Earth Opening Night - The art of keeping her nose above water... on Sept 12th at Black Crow Studios Fun and Sparkles Guaranteed See more

20.01.2022 And to close Mother Earth - The art of keeping her nose above water, here's one from me... ."Sometimes you need to fight for the precious little things". I fee...l like this can be said for many aspects of life. This is, 'Athena' - Goddess Of Wisdom & War. I struggled a lot with her but I decided that was just what she was supposed to be, a battle on the paper Behind her is Kieron Hayter jumping at the chance to take some pro snaps of the ladies while they were hanging out the way they were intended. They totally rocked their photoshoot and your print orders just got an upgrade in quality ;) Athena's original is still available $250 A3 Cotton Rag print orders close on Sept 30th. $3 B&W postcards of selected Mother Earth series still available. 10% of all sales from 'Mother Earth- The art of keeping her nose above water', donated to www.greenfleet.com.au Take a closer look and learn more about all the girls messages www.lindarae.online/product-page/athena Print orders: www.lindarae.online/product-page/a3-lokal-prints P.S. For those people who didn't see the exhibition hanging, Kieron was photographing Joy was on the other side ;P

04.01.2022 A lovely Kalgoorlie family starting up their business. Wishing them all the best.

04.01.2022 "I asked a friend who has crossed 70 and is heading towards 80 what sort of changes she is feeling in herself? She sent me the following: 1. After loving my ...parents, my siblings, my spouse, my children and my friends, I have now started loving myself. 2. I have realized that I am not Atlas. The world does not rest on my shoulders. 3. I have stopped bargaining with vegetable & fruit vendors. A few pennies more is not going to break me, but it might help the poor fellow save for his daughter’s school fees. 4. I leave my waitress a big tip. The extra money might bring a smile to her face. She is toiling much harder for a living than I am. 5. I stopped telling the elderly that they've already narrated that story many times. The story makes them walk down memory lane & relive their past. 6. I have learned not to correct people even when I know they are wrong. The onus of making everyone perfect is not on me. Peace is more precious than perfection. 7. I give compliments freely and generously. Compliments are a mood enhancer not only for the recipient but also for me. And a small tip for the recipient of a compliment, never, NEVER turn it down, just say "Thank You. 8. I have learned not to bother about a crease or a spot on my shirt. Personality speaks louder than appearances. 9. I walk away from people who don't value me. They might not know my worth, but I do. 10. I remain cool when someone plays dirty to outrun me in the rat race. I am not a rat and neither am I in any race. 11. I am learning not to be embarrassed by my emotions. It’s my emotions that make me human. 12. I have learned that it's better to drop the ego than to break a relationship. My ego will keep me aloof, whereas, with relationships, I will never be alone. 13. I have learned to live each day as if it's the last. After all, it might be the last. 14. I am doing what makes me happy. I am responsible for my happiness, and I owe it to myself. Happiness is a choice. You can be happy at any time, just choose to be! I decided to share this with all my friends. Why do we have to wait to be 60 or 70 or 80, why can't we practice this at any stage and age?
