24.01.2022 In such a male dominated industry it's rare to see a female mechanic. Personally I think it's awesome to see that she is keen and knowledgeable about the trade and she brings up some good points about the importance of regular vehicle servicing. Manufacturers are partly to blame, they are stretching their schedules too far and now we are seeing the repercussions of this, especially in diesel vehicles.

21.01.2022 I posted this morning about the importance of regularly servicing your vehicle. As it happens we had a vehicle come in today which is a perfect example of what I was talking about. Not only is the engine full of sludge but the oil filter was completely blocked and upon removal the paper element was crumbling in my hand. The oil filter housing was also chock-a-block full of material.

20.01.2022 After 31 years, today is the day I hang up the work boots! Thank you so much to all of our loyal customers over the past years. Thank you to Billy, Graham and Craig for making these years enjoyable at work! They look forward to your continued support as my son, Craig, takes over.

15.01.2022 Robert and Mrs Shirley Gray. Mrs Gray is the longest standing customer of Reliance Motors, bringing her car in for 48 years. Robert retires tomorrow after 31 years at Reliance Motor Engineers. His son Craig will be taking over, so business will continue to operate as usual!

13.01.2022 We will be working at limited capacity for the next couple of weeks while we are moving our equipment and getting the new workshop up and running. If you have a service due in the next couple of weeks, we suggest that you make arrangements to book in ASAP, to avoid us letting you down. We will be doing rego inspections after 12PM only from the 28th August till the 1st September. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and hope to get back up to full capacity as soon as possible.

Our phone number will still be the same. We are closing tomorrow to finish up moving but will still be taking phone calls / bookings as the landline will be diverted to one of our mobiles.

02.01.2022 As of the 19th September 2017 Reliance Motor Engineers will be trading from our new workshop located at 5/75 Montague Street North Wollongong (opposite the council central works depot and in the complex next to Mission Australia). Our new workshop is modern, spacious and has a waiting area. We will offer a pickup service for people unable to make arrangements to get their vehicle to our new premises. Our phone number, mechanical services and staff will all remain the same. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and will do our best to accommodate everyone in the transition to the new premises.
