19.01.2022 The Cafe Cruiser This ol’ custom classic needed a little attention. Stripped bare, cleaned and serviced with a lick of paint added too. Leather grips were homemade just like in the olden days. This flip flop cafe cruiser has returned to it’s happy owner and reloved again (Thanks to Little Lucky Cafe for location! This beauty still holds its original paint work which comes with its scratches and scuff marks and faded brand marks. I replaced the old riser bars to the more traditional ladies handlebars. Also adding and restoring an old style German bell. ... Pannier rack and vintage pedals added too. Fully stripped and serviced. 08.01.2022 Electric Blue Sold! ReLoved again This 1980s Ricardo racer was kindly donated a little worse for wear. It was incomplete with only the classic steel frame. Made in Australia it still has its original paint work and brand labelling. This vintage racer maintains its original saddle and crank set and still looks great today. Added to this are new/secondhand tri spoke wheels and tyres which gives this retro classic a modern twist. The Bull Horn handlebars now have new bar tap...e and bar ends, new brake levers and cables. Head and crank set were removed, cleaned and repacked. This bike now rides like it’s just come out of the shop. Once a 10 speed bike, it is now converted into a fast flying single speed. Perfect for commuting! 05.01.2022 Where it all started... I spotted this old classic GraeCross bike in the shack of a great friend of mine in his backyard. This old bike has a lot of history behind it and had travelled many parts of Australia even up to Mt. Kosciuszko way back in the 80s and 90s and even the early 00s. For over ten years this poor old bike was left resting and rusting away. To bring it back it really didn’t need much, stripped of all parts and cleaned and some pieces replaced with new. The o...ld GraeCross frame still comes with its scratches and scuff marks and faded brand marks. But she now rides like a dream as she did before. Fully loaded traveller like she once was. ‘She’s back!’ Most recent trek Jan 2020, Approximately 280km. Great Victorian Rail Trail and regularly ridden around town day to day. #relovedridesrescued
