24.01.2022 It’s really impossible to ignore nature here. Bedtime is earlier and I wake about 5 because I don’t want to miss anything. And the internet reception is not good so I can’t be bombarded with news Prefect Retreat!!

22.01.2022 A busy day. Awoke in the cabana to bright sunshine Blind coffee tasting and brainstorming morning followed by longevity enhancing aqua dip and aqua-aerobics and a stroll. Fresh Tassie produce for luncheon. The afternoon was spent honing navigational skills, native plant identification and basic surveying.... Next up is some tasty Tassie distillation juice. Phew! See more

19.01.2022 With a security check in order and a small but vital maintenance job required, we did a quick trip to the Retreat. It still involved a little sparkling in our bellies and the sky. We are calm and happy here and hope we can visit soon. But, for now, we have memories of the biggest rainbow and the biggest smiles, the biggest stars and the fullest hearts.

19.01.2022 A good book, eski, a firm, comfortable bed and a view to the outside where puppa picks the sunniest spot. Bees and birds and crashing wave sounds.

18.01.2022 Well it’s not the shortest day and we don’t have a red bathing cap.... But it’s sunny and calm and pretty and the moment was there! Venn-like diagrams on the beach, alfresco dining, salt water and giggles and gasps. Soon it’s back to reality but for now we are in this moment!!

17.01.2022 This morning we woke and I asked the time. There is no time here! he replied Coffee and eats before a swim ( loosely defined) As we embraced on the beach, a wedge-tailed Eagle did his thing above us. Right above us. We were in awe. He was unperturbed.... It’s hard to imagine they are endangered he said before I reminded him that we hang out in the quiet places near there homes. We kept walking with the soft water lapping our heels. We watched the individual beauty of each wave, stunningly icy blue under the cloudy sky and green when the sun came out. We found a Red Sea star and tried to identify it. A spring whipper-snip and thistle removal ticked the job box. Sunday is a great day !! See more

15.01.2022 Today, the ladies retreated! It helped us adhere to the new rules. The sun made us forget our lack of income, (mostly )and filled is with Vitamin D. A wasp, mosquitos and bumble bees seemed to be ignoring the news! We are off for a swim now.... Hope to see you soon Love Heather and Elle See more

12.01.2022 Life is so simple here. Spaces are flexible and mostly outdoors. The food tastes better even with a lack of ingredients. Heather makes up checkpoints like ‘cheese at 4pm’ Even the washing up is an opportunity to listen to the birds and have a breeze on your face.... ACe likes barbecue shapes and beer.
