25.01.2022 Health, or lack of, definitely starts on our plates.



23.01.2022 HEALTHY & DELICIOUS WATER RECIPES.... 1) The classical : lemon/cucumber: Mix in a pitcher: 10 cups of water + 1 cucumber and a lemon, thinly sliced + 1/4 cup fresh finely chopped basil leaf + 1/3 of finely chopped fresh mint leaves. Leave in the refrigerator overnight before serving.... 2) The granite : Strawberry/Lime or Raspberry/Lime Mix in a pitcher : 10 cups of water + 6 strawberries / 0r Raspberries and one thinly sliced lime + 12 finely chopped fresh mint leaves. Leave in the refrigerator overnight before serving. 3) The digestive : Fennel/citrus First: infuse 1 to 3 grams of dried and crushed fennel in 150 ml of boiling water for 5-10 minutes. Allow to cool. Mix in a pitcher: 10 cups of water + lemon juice (put the leftover lemon in the mix) + a small thinly sliced orange + 12 fresh chopped mint leaves + the infusion of fennel seeds. Leave in refrigerator overnight before serving. 4) The antiOX : Blackberry/Sage Note that a part from the berries, sage leafs is the herb that has the highest antioxidant content. Mix in a pitcher : 10 cups of water + 1 cup of blackberries that have been very slightly crushed + 3-4 sage leaves. Leave in refrigerator overnight before serving. 5) WATERmelon : watermelon/Rosemary Mix in a pitcher : 10 cups of water + 1 cup of watermelon cut into cubes + 2 rosemary stems. Leave in refrigerator overnight before serving. 6) The exotic : Pineapple/Mint Mix in a pitcher : 10 cups of water + 1 cup of pineapple cut into cubes + 12 fresh mint leaves finely chopped. Leave in the refrigerator overnight before serving. 7) The traditional : Apple/cinnamon Mix in a pitcher : 10 cups of water + 1 cup of apple cut into cubes + 2 cinnamon sticks + 2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Leave in the refrigerator overnight before serving. 8.) The zingibir : Ginger/tea In advance: heat 1 teaspoon of ginger in two cups of tea, let it cool down

23.01.2022 In my opinion energy drinks should be banned (as if that will happen!) or at least NOT SOLD TO MINORS. Shouldn't they be 18+ ?? Caffeine PLUS Guarana is a lethal mix for some (1x energy drink can take you over the recommended "adult" caffeine intake per day) Adverse health problems linked to energy drinks such as Mother & RedBull etc. include: 1) Heart problems due to the heart rate and blood pressure increasing, you don't have to have a history of heart issues to be negativ...ely affected by these "drinks". This can lead to 2) Increases the risk of miscarriage (as does any form of caffeine). A study in 2006 showed women had twice the risk of miscarriage when consuming moderate-high levels of caffeine. 3) Impaired cognition, the amount of caffeine in energy drinks dampens down performance as opposed to improving performance during an i.e. exam. 4) Regular consumption of energy drinks and high caffeine levels have been linked to anxiety, depression, irritability, headaches and insomnia. 5) Caffeine is linked to hormonal disruptions including melatonin imbalances, thyroid dysfunction & sex and growth hormone changes. 6) When combined with Alcohol... well that's a whole other story. It leads to excessive drinking as the drinkers are WIDE AWAKE, can lead to palpitations, impaired judgement and aggressive behaviour. STEER CLEAR OF ENERGY DRINKS FOLKS AND MAKE SURE YOUR KIDDIES ARENT DRINKING THEM WHEN YOU ARE NOT WATCHING!

18.01.2022 This is enough to put every person off conventional food for life. Scary isn't it. A conventionally grown strawberry contains 45 - 75 different chemicals, upon testing. I think I'll stick to the strawberry on the right.



13.01.2022 Start your day or have an arvo pick-me-up with a fresh, green juice. You will need to use a slow juicer, food processor, blender or thermo-mix in order to retain the vital enzymes, vits & mins, fibre and to keep the produce ALIVE! Fast juicers turn all your fruit and vegies into sugar (fructose) in a cup, not recommended. Try mixes with spinach, silver beet, kale, cucumber, zucchini, celery, herbs such as mint & parsley, kiwi fruit, beetroot, avocado, apple for taste, ginger for some spice, lemon or lime for tang.... SUPER ALKALIZING and nutrient dense!

04.01.2022 It's meant to be 30 degrees tomorrow! Yahoo! Just because your healthy doesn't mean you need to miss out on delicious ice-cream this summer! TRY THIS EASY ONE INGREDIENT RECIPE.... MAKE SOME YUMMY BANANA ICECREAM!!!! Step #1 Take 4-5 ripe bananas (the riper the better) they should have at least a few brown spots), peel them and freeze overnight until they're completely solid. They will keep for at least a week.... Step #2 Cut bananas into 1/2 inch pieces (no bigger). Add to food processor. Blend for about 45-60 seconds. The bananas should be fully blended into a smooth, creamy and light ice -cream. Be careful not to over blend. Can be eaten immediately or can be stored in the freezer for a couple of days :)

(TOXIC!!!!!), Poloxamer 407, Propylene glycol, PVM/MA copolymer, Sodium benzoate, Sodium fluoride, Sodium hydroxide, Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), Sodium saccharin, Sorbitol, Titanium dioxide, Triclosan (PESTICIDE!) You get the picture! Why would we want to absorb and ingest such toxic chemicals, artificial colours / sweeteners and synthetic compounds.. which have been linked to many diseases and toxicity?!
