12.01.2022 Twenty-eight local governments are partners in the Inland Queensland Roads Action Project (IQ-RAP), advocating for more investment into road and bridge upgrades... to create jobs and improve safety and productivity for all users across the inland Queensland road network. Much strategic planning work and advocacy has been done in recent years. At the upcoming state election, it is important for all voters to remember the connectivity between the importance of roads and the health of our regional economies. Our 28 local government areas contribute $43.5 billion to the state economy each year. This is nearly as much as the economy of Tasmania and the NT combined. We are critical to the success of the mining, cattle and agricultural industries that are also key export revenue earners. Drive tourism is also vital for our rural towns and communities. Each of these industries relies on the road network, its safety and efficiency. We need all Parties to consider the future economic health of not only SEQ but also Far North and inland Queensland. Investment into the road network will drive safety and productivity outcomes to sustain and support the growth of our industries as well as immediately create jobs through the planning and construction stages. We need a fair go. When you next meet a candidate, ask them about their commitment to inland Queensland and the vital road network that supports our communities and the state.

06.01.2022 Gosh, once again I am blown away with the response that I have received from posting our Remfrey Caps our support network out there is truly amazing and I can...not thankyou you all enough for your kind words, and continued support throughout all of our little adventures. This photo is my response from the first hour of putting up the post, phone didn’t stop... my beautiful daughter always tells me Mum you need to believe in yourself and yes she’s right I do need to believe in myself more and stick with my gut. I can truly vouch for anyone out there wanting to have a crack at something you are passionate about, go and do it, give it a go, from little things, bigger things can grow, it’s such a satisfying feeling & you’ll glow from the inside with pride, don’t worry about the knockers, those assholes are always in the background, but that’s good, they put the fire in your guts, use their negativety to lift you. I’m just feeling very humbled and proud and want to say Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou, we truly do love and appreciation all of your support, you guys are amazing xxx as our awesome Slim Dusty sang, I’d rather be a has been then a never was at all See more
