22.01.2022 Quick behind the scenes snap. We've spent the last couple of months updating our courses to meet the new CASA Manual of Standards (MOS) requirements. The new courses will kick off in April. The good news is your licence doesn't change (existing holders don't need to do anything). If you haven't obtained your RePL yet, from April you'll need to sit a course that meets the MOS requirements. In a nutshell, the theory delivery method will change, as will the exam requirements. The theory content we teach won't change much, but the bad news our flexible training/online delivery method will no longer be available. Instead, the majority of theory will need to be delivered face to face, which will extend the length of our courses. We'll keep working with clients so we can continue to deliver training that is efficient and cost effective.

15.01.2022 Discussion- What are you, our followers, using your drones for? Below is a great example of QPS putting drones to good use. Some of their motorbikes have the top end Phantom 4 RTK (real time kinematic) positioning systems on board, which means they can get to accidents quicker.

05.01.2022 Victorian Police Officers are using drones to visually search and inspect injured koalas after the recent bushfires. If you work in the emergency services and wish to gain licensing to do the same, drop us a message and we can tailor your training.

05.01.2022 Today CASA announced the drone registration and accreditation program has been delayed due to COVID-19's impact on businesses. Drone registration for commercial operators and excluded category operators was scheduled to commence on 1 April 2020 in line with legislation that was passed in July 2019. The government has agreed to defer mandatory drone registration and accreditation until 30 September 2020.... Recreational drone registration and accreditation is still expected to commence in 2022. Overall, the support from CASA for the whole aviation industry has been excellent during this crisis.
