20.01.2022 From the ‘How NOT to Win Friends and Influence People’ Files - tiered wedding reception menus with options based on the value of guests’ wedding gifts...

16.01.2022 From the Strange But True Files... Three decades after marrying his first wife, this English man married her mother, his former-mother-in-law, in the exact same registry office as his first wedding. Interestingly, the groom was arrested in 1993 after registering their intention to marry, with police declaring there was a legal impediment. Unable to marry, they lived together instead. A legal case granted permission for a similarly challenged couple to wed in the European Court of Human Rights which paved the way for this couple to also marry in the UK. Thirteen years on, they are still happily married.

14.01.2022 There’s something really special about lace wedding dresses - I just love them. There are so many ways in which lace can be incorporated into dresses - take a look at this item from Weddingbells. #weddingdressinspo

13.01.2022 A gentleman lamented to me recently that his wedding reception would be impacted by the no dancing rule implemented by his venue as part of its COVID-Safe Plan. Not being able to dance with his new wife and their guests seemed to devastate him far more than Government restrictions on guest numbers. I told him not to lose faith; that a lot could happen in a few months and he might just find that by the time his wedding rolls around this dancing ban may be lifted. That cheered him up a bit. Fingers crossed that he gets his wish to dance with his wife and guests at their wedding reception.

06.01.2022 My last post reflected on dancing at weddings, which is currently banned due to COVID. But the light is at the end of the tunnel as per the Premier’s latest announcement.
