17.01.2022 Now we are moving away from COVID era the Boulder Town Hall and the Goldfields War Museum are now reopened :) In fact the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder has been named a finalist in the 2020 Western Australian Heritage Awards! Congratulations to the team at City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder History and Heritage for a job well done (y) Here is a couple of photos from behind the scenes back pre COVID. 14.01.2022 What an exciting morning it has been for Heritage Services! Chuck Thomas of Remote Digital Imagery arrived just before 8:00am at the Boulder Town Hall with crat...es and bags of camera's and other interesting filming equipment. The City has in its care a vast civic and military collection. Heritage Services is looking for new ways to share some of the fascinating objects and stories with our community. This is now even more important in today's environment. Chuck arrived to film the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder's historians showcasing objects for the collections and telling the fascinating stories surrounding people and events of the Goldfields. These filmed snippets of history with be shared regularly with our community. Watch this space!
